Well, you know, those Little Russian women just need a little proper re-education about their true background. They’ve been brainwashed by Nazis that they belong to some fictional ethnic group called “Ukrainian.” Russia, in its benevolence, is just here to provide that instruction.

I hear the Russians eat Ukrainian kittens for breakfast.

Per Ukrainian reports, when you’re operating from a position of weakness ... all you have is lies.

Some people: “LOL, it’s been nearly ten months and superpower Russia still has not subdued Ukraine and it’s Soviet Era army.”

Other people: “LOL, nine rounds of sanctions and weapons and aid from 40+ countries and Putin’s trust rating is still 80% and Russian widows calling for him to escalate the war.”

Soldiers' widows group calls on Putin to order major mobilisation for Ukraine war

In Russia, when your dear leader kills anyone who talks bad about him or his decisions, "trust" is a code word for "fear". Do you "trust" Comrade Putin? Uhhh, . . . yes?

*Russia admits 63 killed in a missile strike.”

DAH: “LOL, I told you Russia was losing!”

*next day double that number of Ukrainian troops killed in each of two separate missile strikes*

The way this country kowtows to Israel’s every whim infuriates me. Yes they are a rare beacon of democracy in the ME, but in almost very other way they are a net drain on us, not an add. And whatever they do, if we try to push back the various groups here that support Israel raise a stink and we cave.
But I do think the idea of trying to make the Euro Atlantic alliance built trip on them is dumb, they have many more things to worry about than NATO.

Because Hillary controlled teams of CIA assassins and eliminated high-profile people who disagreed with her?

71 million Americans unafraid of being offed, by the Clintons, even though the Clinton List dwarfs the Putin List.

I WILL NEVER forgive Benji (kill all Arabs) Nutcase for coming here and and sucking up to Pubs while Obama was trying to make peace in the middle east. That was the last straw for me when it comes to that tyrant and SHAME on Israel for putting that crooked jerk back in power.

I have visions of Trump, Benji and Bolsanaro all dancing around a witches kettle, gleefully calling for an end to all world civility.

Can’t but think that Putin increasing his army to 1.5 million is a response to DAH.

Some details on U.S. computer chip technology is making its way into Russian missiles and drones. Apparently, U.S. companies sell the chips to Swiss companies to use in consumer products, and the Swiss companies sell them to distributors, who turn around and sell them to the Russians.

American tech is helping guide Russia's explosive drones into Ukraine

It seems like one of the companies involved in the production of the chips or components could suspend production for a few months to see what impact it would have on the Ukraine War. Or have the government buy up the chips and put them in storage for a while, and release them later. If drone hobbyists need to wait until the end of this war to get their toys, I am o.k. with that (although I'm sure there are probably some necessary uses). It would be interesting if Russia could be neutered this way. Either way, the U.S. and Switzerland shouldn't be providing technology for Russian missiles and drones. Just like the British shouldn't be providing the aircraft engines for the Iranian drones.

Russia is claiming its first kill of a HIMARS system in Ukraine . . . after five months of getting blasted by the system. The U.S. has not confirmed the kill. At this rate, Ukraine will be out of HIMARS systems in 6.5 years, or they would be, if 18 more systems were not on their way to Ukraine. I hope we can provide enough ammunition for the systems. Of course, Russia has made these claims before, usually after destroying a wooden mockup of the system used as a decoy.

White House says it can’t confirm that US-supplied heavy artillery system destroyed by Russia in Ukraine

Will probably decrease dramatically since Germany committed to stop buying Russian oil & gas starting in December of 2022. I think other countries may have been buying from Germany, so as to claim that they were not buying from Russia. That was inflating the numbers significantly. Germany now has more oil/gas unloading facilities in their ports, so they can buy from other countries not named "Russia". What else would Europe want from Russia?

Russia has been destroying HIMARS on a regular basis. It’s just a truck.

It’s going to be supremely embarrassing, for the US, when the Patriot is taken out the day after it’s set up.

German made GEPAR systems being field proven taking out drones. Seems like the most economical system that can be incorporated to help create defensive shields. shortage of ammo, and just as critical, shortage of german capacity to produce ammo is a concern. Switzerland refusing to contribute to the cause

The little-known weapon knocking down Iranian drones over Kyiv (msn.com)

So how did they do it? According to Ukrainian officials and advisers to Kyiv who spoke to POLITICO, much of it is thanks to the German-made Gepard system, a vehicle that can send dual streams of 35mm rounds ripping into the sky to hit the drones. Berlin has sent 30 Gepard vehicles to Ukraine over the past year, with seven more on the way this year.

he weapon, essentially an anti-aircraft gun that sits atop a tracked vehicle, provides Ukraine with a mobile air defense system that has played a key role in destroying Russian drones and missiles as the Kremlin continues to send waves of both at power stations and electrical generating plants. The aerial assaults have plunged Kyiv and other cities into darkness and shut off the heat for tens of thousands of civilians forced to shiver through the winter.

Since September, Ukrainian air defenses have destroyed 540 Iranian kamikaze drones, according to Yurii Ihnat, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian air force. The Gepard “is effective against these UAVs, as well as against cruise missiles,” he added, “but this weaponry, which is intended for air defense of the Ground Forces, is not enough.”
    ..............
Many of the rounds for the vehicles’ two guns were manufactured in Switzerland, and the government there has refused to allow Germany to re-export those rounds to Ukraine, citing its neutral status. German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht wrote to the Swiss government in October asking to send 12,400 rounds of Swiss-made ammunition to Ukraine, a request that was rejected. In December, German manufacturer Rheinmetall said it would open a new production line to start making 35mm ammunition, though the first rounds won’t be available until later this year.

That lack of domestic industrial capacity has increasingly alarmed Western governments since the start of the war. As a result, the U.S. and its European allies are hurriedly working to identify munitions they might be able to pull out of older stockpiles and considering ways to begin pooling resources as the war in Ukraine continues to drain warehouses across NATO. In Washington, closed-door talks have begun about pulling Cold War-era munitions out of bunkers and upgrading them enough to be useful to Kyiv, according to one person familiar with the discussions. One such program has already started, with missiles for long-retired U.S.-made HAWK air defense systems slated to get the necessary updates to be sent to the fight.
