Good for them. Guessing ships being hit that weren't involved (didn't they also hit a Turkish ship earlier in the week?) helped make that decision.
That is silly. I think that Biden is a hapless douchebag and a shitty leader. However - I think Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are awesome and I hope they kick Putin's ass. Politics should end at the border. Period.
He kicked Trump’s ass in debates and elections. So I guess, your choices were weak old man or fat guy who gets a slapped around by weak old man. Congrats, you’re better off.
What you describe more accurately represents the perception of a "large majority" of TDS afflicted haters, than of the ppl who voted for Trump. Take Jan 6 group that stormed the Capitol, for e.g. vast--or even large-- majority of 80 million ppl? Majority at all? Or a small, out sized sampling of that vastly larger group? Hell, was it even a majority of the ppl that showed up to protest? ...and within that group even, a much smaller minority with arms and actual malice intended. ....but you, and your fellow TDS afflicted insist on acting like that is the "large majority", and that we view him as "an orange god". Whatever. I really ought to keep my silence, and let y'all continue to *aleviate* yourselves, and alienate the actual "large majority" with your childish ranting.
The sanctions and what Biden said about them, then all but conceding Ukraine to Putin, are the opposite of swift. Biden has been in office over a year now. Blaming Trump for things is not a valid response anymore. THAT SAID, as slow in responding as Biden is, at least he's not praising Putin and his actions. Anyone saying Trump would've taken a tougher stand is kidding themselves. He would've sat back drinking some premium Vodka sent by Putin. Maybe sent some paper towels.
If this is accurate, for perspective, in the ENTIRE two decade Afghanistan campaign, we lost 2,401 American service members.
Shaping up to be a beautiful disaster. The Ukrainians show no fear of the Russians, and are ready to go full afghan for decades. I think Putin was counting on the Ukes shitting their britches and capitulating.
What to believe? I know people are clamoring for news the question is what is hype and misinformation versus fact. Russia-Ukraine war: Turkey denies closing Black Sea to Russian warships
I have to side with Biden on this topic - sending troops to Ukraine. Yes he botched a lot leading up to this, but sending troops was never an option. For all of Trump's bluster, he was never a threat of pushing the button. But I'm not sure about Putin. I could see him ordering tactical nukes on Ukrainian soil if the US intervened and then say it was our nukes that were used. He's showing that hand by calling Ukrainian leaders as neo-Nazis (ironic considering Zelensky is Jewish).
