Damn. And there was an Ugric janitor working in a low-end pornography viewing center in Novosibirsk who was counting on one of those khat-chewing African mercenaries to take his place in Ukraine, er, Little Russia. I guess he will have to exchange that mop for a rifle after all.

Another Russian billionaire has died under mysterious circumstances
Billionaire with "enemies in Russia" dies in mysterious helicopter crash

While little is known about what caused the crash, local media noted in initial reports last Friday that the crash occurred in fair weather, with an experienced pilot who was familiar with the area at the helm of an Airbus H130, a multimillion-dollar touring aircraft considered to be top-of-the-line around the world.
Others, meanwhile, can only speculate what caused the death of yet another high-profile figure within the Russian business community.
Since the start of the year, more than a dozen Russian businessmen representing industries like fossil fuels, transportation and media have died under sometimes-suspicious circumstances, with several bearing histories of criticism toward the Russian government and President Vladimir Putin.

When the US launched its proxy war, against Russia, it had a Plan A ...

Plan A was to wage economic war, on ordinary Russians, in the hopes that, in their misery, they would rise up against Putin and see him deposed.

Plan A clearly failed, on to Plan B ...

Plan B entailed the US and some 40 US vassals sending untold billions in weapons and aid to blunt any military advantage Russia might have and to embolden as many Ukrainians as possible to die for Joe Biden.

But the latest US weapons tranche is scraping the bottom of the barrel. 20 of 30 NATO nations have signaled that they’re tapped out. And the Pentagon has urged Ukraine to dial back, on the artillery, as the US is burning through its active stocks.

So it’s on to Plan C. There is no Plan C ...

Meat for the grinder. It keeps yook troops engaged slaughtering human beings, bad as they may be. The carnage in exchange for a stalemate should be a war crime on the russian leadership itself. Those poor subsribed russian men meant nothing to whoever is running the war and have no chance

Stalemate? Russia might have had a stalemate a couple of months ago. By last analysis, Russia has been marching a good deal more east than west, including panicked abandonment of areas supposedly part of Great Russia now. A neutral observer of the conflict would call that losing. But of course I’ll be fascinated to see what happens when Russia launches greatest winter counteroffensive since Operation URANUS in November 1942. We will see if they have actually learned how to put together a combined-arms operation or if it is just more buffoonery followed by excuses and equivocations.

Ukraine holding on amid Donbas 'meat grinder' as Putin turns Bakhmut into 'killing field' (msn.com)

General Clark told CNN: "The way you operate in the military is you do have to focus your combat power. So they are focusing on this point.

"And if they take Bakhmut, it does open the door towards Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

"But it also serves as a sort of killing ground for grinding up the Ukrainian forces, and this is what they want to do.

"If they can put unbearable pressure on these Ukrainian forces, before they can bring the other forces back from Kherson to bear.

Certainly not invincible. Hell, our own US military, for all its reputational might, got chased out of Afghanistan by goat herders. But it is almost incomprehensible how you yahoos perceive that Russia is losing or even struggling mightily.

    Differing fighting strategies ...

    @YeahCool_

It's very telling how Ukrainian command keep pouring men for a worthless and already lost battle like Bakhmut while Russia withdrew troops and civilians in kherson to other bank to avoid any not needed casualties. Yet they say Russia uses it's soldiers as "cannon fodder"

Translation: Ukraine trades bodies for land, whereas Russia trades land for bodies. Working terribly and tragically for Ukrainians.

The recent elections in Taiwan were essentially a referendum on Taiwan independence wherein the Independence Party (DPP) absolutely crushed.

As this is a slap in the face for the US, watch for weapons already paid for, by Taiwan, to be diverted to Ukraine to keep the Ukrainians dying.
