Do you think that the bridge could have been a false flag operation by Wagner or Chechen warlord to convince Putin to go after civilian infrastructure? Kind of like when Putin dropped that apartment building full of Russian soldiers to justify the Chechen war

While not the most credible source the Daily Mail is much closer to being the British equivalent of the NY Post than the National Enquirer and in the case of Russian troops on the frontlines in Ukraine its story is consistent with other sources.
NY Post equally bad. FWIW, I am not informed by Russian sources. Rather, I ascribe credibility to Western sources not shot through with prior hatred for Putin/Russians.
have to wonder if sacrificing all these conscripts is a way to try and get the russian population to hate Ukraine more than they hate Putin. wishful these conscripts would be surrendering in droves

It's war, man. I don't blame Ukraine for blowing up that bridge. From my understanding, the Ukrainian government didn't deny their involvement, which was another way to accept responsibility for the attack without formally accepting responsibility. But I do not care that Ukraine did this.. they are at war, it's to be expected. You're too stuck in this tribalism thing where it has to be all "Ukraine good, Russia bad." There's no reason to be defensive about the bridge. It was in Ukraine's interests to blow it up and I don't have a problem with them doing so. As for Russia doing it as a false flag, I suppose it's possible, but again, Ukraine all but took responsibility for the bridge blow-up, so why would I just assume it was Russian self-sabotage?
Not tribal, empathy. Marauding invader bad, homeland defender good. Do you think attacking electric, water, sewer is war on enemy or war on civilians? Should Ukraine be attacking electric grids, water/sewer plants in Russia? Not defensive of the bridge. It appears that is what pushed Putin to increase the targeting of civilian infrastructure the way Wagner and Chechen's prefer to wage war so there is reason to believe it was a false flag op that achieved its objective. I doubt that Ukraine had the op resources to carry out such a strike
