Morale seems non existent in the Russian army. Let's get Ukraine armed and on the move. Would love to see ivan rolled east and back home before winter.
Russia is getting drones from Iran. They are already starting to fail. Russia is already experiencing several failures in the first shipment of drones from Iran, reports say

Yet another hit by Pootie Pie. Windows and balconies are the leading causes of death in mother Russia these days. Who knew?
makes me wonder if this was retribution for the attempted hit on Putin's right hand man that killed the daughter
Submarine - Comrade Luk-Oil died while eagerly waving to fellow comrades returning from glorious campaign on Western Front! Czar Putin tried to restrain him but, excitement of seeing dead and wounded hero comrades was too much......
Exactly. Give them something to hang on to on the way down. Ohhh, you meant screwed into the building. To prevent the fall. Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Foolish capatalists on message board think bars on windows to keep comrades from jumping, not true, bars on windows to keep Amerikan and Ukranian scum out! Salut!!!!!
Like the damn Nazis. Or the Khmer Rouge. Or revisionist Sumerians, trying to bring back infant sacrifice. Why would we immediately leap to Putin? It’s intellectually lazy.
This is more detailed about the Kherson offensive with more specifics than anything else I have read or heard. For those interested, I recommend Ready, steady, slow: Ukraine’s bid for Kherson - The Economist Podcasts
Putin has a new message for Russian schoolchildren: give up your dreams (and, presumably, join the army). He also wishes that they have a criminal for a mentor, like he had. It's good to see that Putin has not completely lost his sentimentality. Putin Gives Utterly Miserable Advice to Kids on School Visit I don't think SNL could come up with something so bizarre.
Ukraine predicts that Russia will run out of shells, artillery and armored vehicles by the end of this year. They are also having a problem replacing worn-out artillery barrels. Not sure what they can do about armored vehicles--maybe let the military drive around in school buses (after his motivational speech kicking off the school year, it doesn't sound like Russian children will have any use for school). I'm sure they could bolt wooden beams to the buses for additional protection. Russian Federation will run out of shells, artillery and armoured vehicles by year end
I hope Ukraine is right, but I doubt it. Better chance of armed uprisings in Russia over the course of the war than that they simply run out of munitions. But I’ll take either scenario.
That seems to be the case. Here is an intercepted phone call from a Russian soldier saying his comrades intend to lay down their arms and stop fighting.
The spigot remains closed. The question now is will it ever open? In the mean time the 6 month release of 1 million barrels of oil a day from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) which started in April this year is set to expire at the end of this month. Russia scraps gas pipeline reopening, stoking European fuel fears Russia has scrapped a Saturday deadline to resume flows via a major gas supply route to Germany, deepening Europe's difficulties in securing winter fuel, after saying it had found faults in the Nord Stream 1 pipeline during maintenance. ........... But Gazprom, the state-controlled firm with a monopoly on Russian gas exports via pipeline, said on Friday it could not safely restart deliveries until it had fixed an oil leak found in a vital turbine. It did not give a new time frame. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggested earlier on Friday there could be more disruptions to deliveries via Nord Stream 1. "It's not the fault of Gazprom that the resources are missing. Therefore, the reliability of the entire system is at risk," he said when asked if more outages could be expected.
