I had followed that podcast and listened to an episode or two and found it interesting. But then on episode he started bashing “Fauci and company” and went on to say they should be criminally charged and also said Covid prevention measures have caused a delay and rebound of other diseases like RSV (which is probably true) that is so serious that Fauci should be fired and listeners should go to the doctor and assess their danger of getting these diseases. It was so over the top and ridiculous that I concluded I can’t really trust anything he says and unfollowed the podcast.
The U.S. has more than enough mutants. Trust me. They aren't super soldiers, but they are mutants. We've got the mutant gap covered.
True - he took Fauci to task for several reasons same as Sen. Rand Paul has done. I don't have a problem with that at all. I listen to many podcasts even those on the left and sit through their spouts of derision to be honest I could ignore them altogether but every now and then they do have valid points. I believe you can tell from my posts not only do I provide the link to the podcast I do the research to find out if what he has to say is valid and post links supporting the claim.
It’s one thing to have diversity of opinion, it’s another when someone just spews out utter nonsense. I don’t know if I want to invest time in a podcast where I can not trust in what he is saying - if he says something unique and insightful, how do I know it is true? You can google the guy and you see some pretty partisan opinions, even though apparently he used to be a Democrat.
I agree utter nonsense from anyone is annoying yet they deserve to have their say. I can google his claims to validate what he is talking about as I did in my post. As for apparently partisan that is pretty much the staple of the day. To get to the root of the claims you have to do some research and that means listening to both sides.
I rated it funny but I am also rating it a winner in this thread. Edit: Apparently you can't rate your own thread, so I thing it was a winner!
Europe plans to force countries to ration gas as Russia weaponizes energy The European Union has unveiled its emergency gas rationing plan — a day before it fears Russia could drastically cut the flow of natural gas to the continent. The "Save Gas for a Safe Winter" plan announced Wednesday sets a target for the 27 member states to reduce their gas demand by 15% between August and March next year. That reduction is based on countries' average gas consumption during the same months over the previous five years. The plan is focused on curtailing demand by businesses and in public buildings, rather than private homes. Among the proposed measures, the EU Commission is encouraging industry to switch to alternate energy sources — including coal where necessary — and to introduce auction systems that compensate companies for reducing their gas consumption. The Commission is also hoping to pass a new law that would give it the power to force states to reduce their demand for gas "when there is a substantial risk of a severe gas shortage or an exceptionally high gas demand," it said in a press release. I'd like to know how they are going to force EU nations to do this. Could we possibly see a war between EU nations? Hungary is pleading for peace instead of sanctions. States Europe will will face major economic problems and find itself on the losing end of the war. I suspect many nations of Europe have already come to that conclusion. Hungary: The European Union must move away from its policy of sanctions against Russia Hungary called on the European Union to move away from its policy of sanctions against Russia and to enter into talks on Ukraine. The TASS news agency quoted the Hungarian Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Palaj Orban as saying: "Europe will eventually find itself on the losing side of this war and will face major economic problems... Our advice is to stop the sanctions policy. What we have already seen is that the more of them we impose on Russia, the more it becomes." The situation is worse for the European bloc, so we have to think of a solution .. which is negotiations, a ceasefire, peace and diplomacy .. this is the solution.” Orban said the sanctions had failed to do any serious damage to Russia and stop the conflict in Ukraine.
U.S., allies weigh providing Ukraine fighter jets to counter Russia (msn.com) Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force, said that although he would not speculate what type of aircraft might be transferred, discussions are ongoing about how to reinforce Ukraine’s fleet, including with new planes. The Ukrainian air force has been outgunned by Russia since the invasion began Feb. 24, sparingly flying an assortment of MiG jets and other Cold War-era planes. Brown said there are several possibilities, including American-made fighters or some made in Europe. Options include the Gripen fighter made in Sweden, the Rafale made in France, and the Eurofighter Typhoon, which is built by a consortium of companies in several countries.
Apparently, Putin has an advisor/philosopher named Aleksandr Dugin, a pro-Stalin conservative, who advocates for the Russian Empire to control the Eurasian continent from Dublin to Vladivostok to challenge America and "Atlanticism". He's also known as Putin's Rasputin. I didn't know this guy existed, but it does explain much of Putin's thinking. Aleksandr Dugin - Wikipedia
I seem to recall an issue with Ukrainian fighter pilots and training being an issue/ My understanding is Ukrainian pilots were trained on MIG's which led to the problem of finding MIG's for them to use. I suppose it is possible that pilots are being trained elsewhere but to date I've heard no such news. There is also the issue of the standing army that Ukraine currently has left. As economic issues get worse another factor is how much are other nations willing to spend in support of Ukraine? Obviously Ukraine can't afford the equipment.
One would hope that Ukrainian pilots are being trained in clandestine ways and once they are up to speed, they will have access to western made planes and weapons systems.
Lol. Why would Russia be interested in talks? These people really take the UN meanly worded letter model to heart. Guess this is what happens when you make your economy dependent on other nations, you're no longer really a sovereign nation.
may have been posted. When Putin dies, he, of course, goes to hell. After a while satan let's him return to Moscow for 1 night out due to good behavior. Putin goes to a bar & orders a drink. Putin: So, do we still have Crimea? Bartender: Yes. Putin: Do we have Donbas? Bartender: Yes. Putin (getting excited): Do we have Kyiv? Bartender: Yes. Putin: Oh, that is wonderful. How much for the drink? Bartender: 5 Euros.
The U.S. is considering donating A-10 Warthog aircraft to Ukraine. Seems like a good option. The A-10 is not a new or technologically-advanced aircraft, and it does very well against tanks and armored vehicles. Could be very useful for Ukraine. The same guy did not want to send A-10's back in March. Maybe Russia had too much air defense equipment back then, so the A-10's would be shot down too easily. Russia and Ukraine agreed today on resuming grain exports from Ukraine. So the first good step towards food prices coming down, grain prices have already dropped.
