I thought you were against war. Now you are praising "grooming children for war?"

What is it that appeals to you about Russia?

Just against US war capabilities. We need to lay down our arms for father Putin. It's inevitable

My aims are modest. Stop poking the bear and close all of our military installations overseas and bring all our boys and girls home. In other words, go back to where George Washington said we should be. Yes, yes, I realize he was a white male.

Wait, so you are admiring Putin grooming children to be soldiers while you want us to not be so militaristic? Seems wildly inconsistent. Unless your goal wasn't really about militarism and was really about how awesome you think Russia is and that you want them to grow as a country...

Curious, then, that your Russian ministers of death, groomed and perpetually praying for war, are fighting so poorly against the hapless, corrupt, drug-addled, levée en masse armed forces of Ukraine. I hope that education was not too costly.

You don’t seriously buy his act of the “concerned American, trying to save our sons and daughters from the irresistible Russian juggernaut,” do you? Look at his posting history, man. This guy is either a Russian agent or working for one. It’s a comically bad act.

No, of course not. I just like pointing out the stupidity and seeing how he tries to wiggle around to make any of it internally consistent.

@icequeen: I took your advice as that old maxim comes to mind: arguing with an idiot proves there are two. Good riddance.

I could use some extra spending cash. Would live some deets. I have a few accounts on the Internet with some amount of cred. Curious what I could pull monthly.

    Thanks.

These type actions are what we've been reading about the Russian soldiers so far. Murder Xs two.

I have some doubt about this one with the camera being in such close proximity and running. This can easily be staged. Not saying it is, just thinking don’t be fooled by all things like this. The tank and helicopter video game that was posted as real is a prime example.

Sweden protected Jews in WW2. Remarkable story if you look it up, particularly about the King of Sweden

I largely agree with your second paragraph, but much of the first is highly doubtful or irrelevant. It is very highly doubtful that Russian casualties outnumber Russian ones. I would be very surprised if Ukrainian casualties is not at least twice that of Russia's. The difference in armament and training is staggering. While Russia lacks the numbers to effectively take and hold territory swiftly, they're much more capable in head on engagements.

Now, I sure hope that in a war fought entirely on Ukrainian soil that there'd be less atrocities committed by the Ukrainians, but miniscule? Based on what? While it rarely makes it into Western media, there are often mentions of "traitors" in Ukrainian media and SM. The first Ukrainian articles after Russia withdrew from Buncha talked about special operations to clear out Russian saboteurs. The first days of war we saw Kievans attacking Ukrainian armed forces after mistaking them for Russian spec op soldiers. Recently Zelensky warned about traitors who may support Russian referendum in occupied territories. Now what do you think they do to those deemed as traitors? Probably the same as everywhere else, especially during wartime, and that's execution. For how much they've talked about rooting out traitors, how often have you heard about their executions? That should show you how biased the media has been.

Now look, I'm not trying to say the Russians are angels and the Ukrainians are monsters. War is terrible, it brings out the worst in people, but it's the same everywhere else. I just don't see how this war concerns us, and why we're wasting valuable political and financial capital being a participant in this war. I care about inflation, the fate of Roe v. Wade, alternative energy/global warming, humane solution to the immigration crisis, etc. You know, things that affect my life, things that'll suffer serious set backs (in my opinion at least) if the current administration continues to waste finite resources on a war that's like any other war, one that doesn't affect my life more than any other war oceans and continents away.

I don't know about your political leanings, but it bewilders me how many of my fellow Dems can stare at a rising Red tide in the face, at seismic rifts in our social fabric with the impending overturn of Roe v. Wade, and still preoccupy themselves with a war that doesn't affect their lives. It's a preoccupation that'll only serve to raise inflation and disrupt supply chains even more, things that'll cost more seats in congress, probably another 4 years of Trump or a Trump-alike, and if unlucky even longer before the SC can be flipped back to some semblance of balance.

Camera is said to be security cam at the car dealership owned by one of the victims. Having a camera at a dealership aimed at one the approaches to the office seems reasonable to me

No. Just saying that some of this stuff is easy to stage. (See Hollywood)

And the video game that was mistaken (by me btw) to be real. I was absolutely elated some dude was laying on a hill and picking off tanks and helicopters with ease.

Once I’m fooled I get cautious.

    That’s all.
