Source: BleepingComputer EU says Russia behind cyberattack on satellite modems in Ukraine This attack was roughly one hour before Russia invaded. The attack targeted the KA-SAT consumer-oriented satellite broadband service operated by satellite communications provider Viasat. It affected thousands of Ukrainian customers and tens of thousands of other broadband customers across Europe, according to Viasat. The satellite internet outage also disconnected modems used to control roughly 5,800 wind turbines in Germany.
That was my reaction when I read that we were sending M113 APCs to Ukraine. They haven't been used by the Army for decades and even the ones in the National Guard inventory were in storage in warehouses.
Seems his information is off then. The probability of kill given a hit seems to be higher than anticipated from what I have heard. Negligible dud rate even for the older weapons. Operator error that results in missing the target appears to be the primary factor, and that’s to be expected with Ukrainians who have minimal training in the systems. Perhaps Ritter was distracted by the thought of scantily clad 14-year-old girls again the day he made his proclamation.
Well, so far, the U.S. does not have to stop Russia. Russia is enough in its own way, and Ukraine is doing the rest. But thank you, again, for today’s entertaining taste of Russian disinformation.
What is your end-goal by posting this nonsense? You simply like being a contrarian? You like playing the fool?
Precisely. And, further, there is no existential threat to Russia in Ukraine, even in the event of complete military defeat. That’s why it’s ridiculous for us to take his nuclear threats seriously.
Intel official baffled as Tommy Tuberville appears concerned about America weakening Russia Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way to Moscow, Tommy.....
Actually, I read the entire exchange and it doesn’t seem that bad. From what I gather, his point is simply that we shouldn’t be sending dignitaries over to Ukraine for photo ops if Russia believes we are helping Ukraine with specific targeting information (which we deny, which of course we would deny) and validating Russia’s fear that we are in a de facto war with them via proxy. It sounds to me like he supports the aid to Ukraine, just not giving Russia political targets that, intentionally or unintentionally, Russia might harm and bring us deeper into conflict. I disagree with the Senator. I think the state visits are a critical part of the informational aspect of this war, and it is right that some of our politicians share the risk. It is Russia that needs that needs to stand out of our way, not the other way around.
Well, yeah, you had me at former Auburn coach. Just wait till Saban takes the other seat. He will run unopposed.
