Thanks...Just been hearing it's temporary but still climbs. Doesn't make sense but I'm not a finance person.
Putin to temporarily hand over power as he has to undergo cancer surgery. giving power to hardliner crazy dude that convinced him to go to ukraine. hopefully more sane, moderate forces are in play to neutralize this guy and retire Putin. If I was a betting man, the cancer is much more advanced than anybody wants to admit. things could become very fluid very fast Russia’s Putin To Hand Over Keys To War While He Has Cancer Surgery: Report (msn.com) New York (Knewz) — Vladimir Putin’s cancer surgery will force him to hand over power in the Ukraine war “for days,” a “Kremlin insider” told the Daily Mail. Putin will reportedly put hardline Security Council head and ex-FSB chief Nikolai Patrushev in power while he is dealing with surgery. Patrushev, 70, has played a big role in the Ukraine war thus far and convinced Putin that Kyiv is overrun by neo-Nazis, the Daily Mail reports. A year and a half ago, General SVR reported that Putin is suffering from abdominal cancer and Parkinson’s. The Daily Mail reports that Putin has put off the surgery and it won’t happen before the Victory Day commemoration of Russia’s World War II victory in Red Square on May 9. The surgery was originally scheduled for the second of April but has been pushed back, SVR reports. “Putin was recommended to undergo surgery, the date of which is being discussed and agreed,” the outlet stated. “There seems to be no particular urgency, but it cannot be delayed either.”
Well #2 seems nuts too. That's great. I'd say it'd be great if Putin dies in surgery but looking like his whole office is insane so not sure anymore how it helps.
I don't normally care for her & think she needs to retire. But the balls to go there & keep it unannounced. Got to give her credit.
I dont consider it courageous that she didnt announce she's going there. The last high ranking officials to go there didnt make an announcement either. Zelensky is the one that spilled the beans last time.
Sorry I hadn't had coffee when I posted so ill clarify what I meant. Her going there was courageous. That they kept it under wraps without anyone letting on was notable and surprising because visits have rarely been kept under wraps by different people- whether the parties going, Zelensky himself, or just media leaks. Sorry
Thank God. Further down the article this follows that 46 civilians were evacuated per Russia. Cnn live "Red Cross confirms Mariupol evacuation operation is ongoing From CNN's Andrew Carey in Lviv The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is working with the United Nations in an ongoing operation to move people out of Mariupol and the besieged Azovstal steel plant, the ICRC said in a statement. “The ICRC confirms that a safe passage operation is ongoing, in coordination with the UN and the parties to the conflict. The convoy to evacuate civilians started on 29 April, travelled some 230 kilometres and reached the plant in Mariupol on Saturday morning, local time, according to the statement. "The ICRC insists on the fact that no details can be shared until the situation allows, as it could seriously jeopardize the safety of the civilians and the convoy. Relevant local authorities are communicating with the civilians about practical details." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed in a tweet on Sunday that the "Evacuation of civilians from Azovstal began." "The 1st group of about 100 people is already heading to the controlled area," he added."
Cnn live "Ukraine's prosecutor general says there's more than 9,000 cases of war crimes being investigated From CNN's Julia Kesaieva in Kyiv The prosecutor general of Ukraine said her office is opening new cases of alleged war crimes by Russian forces, with a total of 9,158 criminal cases "involving purely war crimes." "We have already identified specific war criminals," said Iryna Venedictova. "There are 15 people in the Kyiv region for instance, 10 of them in Bucha. We are holding them accountable for torture, rape, and looting." ...... On the identification of victims in Bucha, Venedictova said that some bodies cannot be identified and DNA samples are collected. "Unfortunately, we have grounds to open new cases every day: the death of civilians, bombing, deportation of our citizens and children to the occupied territories and to the territory of the aggressor state, etc," she said."
Holy crap this is wrong on every point. Are you getting paid to post garbage or are you otherwise challenged.
This is my thought as well. Putin is an authoritarian kleptocrat. Everyone near power will be the same.
Only advantage I'd see is maybe he's not as fanatical about his safety, the opposition can get someone close, then take HIM out & then have actual elections.
