I think they're going to need serious convincing. Maybe if the rest of NATO can actually tell them how they'll help mitigate shortages. Hopefully that's already in the works.
All I was saying is that, strategically, China would be smart to take advantage of the situation in Ukraine to further their Taiwan agenda. I wasn’t saying I hope they do or that we should get involved in any wars.
I'd be willing to bet that they are doing that to get the weapons out of the armory and to the people for the post-invasion insurgency.
If your genes have have cursed you with limited intelligence AND you have poor role models, this is what you become.
means he want us to send military equipment to shoot down aircraft. We already gave them equipment to destroy tanks
Supporting and criticizing aren't exclusive. This is America. We're allowed to criticize. I don't like Biden. I loathe Trump. I think Biden's plan for slow action isn't going to work and hasn't worked. I listened to his conference & he all but gave up the idea of anything they had planned working regarding Ukraine. I think a slow, staged approach gives Putin & Co a chance to pull resources, get ready, etc. This is the OPPOSITE of what would be considered a "swift" response like he promised. Am I cheering against him? No. Do I think he's doing a good job? No. Am I going to personally insult the man & cheer for Putin? HARD NO. So...difference.
What situation would they be taking advantage of? That's what I was wondering. We aren't in a war with Russia, nor do we appear heading for one. If Russia starts invading NATO countries there are way worse things to worry about than China taking Taiwan.
Putin will stop once they've taken Ukraine. Then they will spend years negotiating to have sanctions lifted.
Agree. That's different than actively cheering for him to fail or not supporting him. I know it's nuanced but people dealing in absolutes on both sides are just damaging this country further. And turning into Siths (sorry...let my Star Wars geek out a little LOL).
