I know there are plenty of moving parts in the military and waging war, but if I knew, as a military man, that weapons such as these - highly mobile and immensely deadly - were in play against my "superior weaponry", I would seriously consider telling my superior officer where to stick their orders. First things first, you own the skies, clean up the ground area and THEN you bring in the shiny toys. Looks like a completely FUBAR'd operation.
The first part basically looks like just a couple guys took out a whole group of tanks and 2 attack helicopters one after another using those handheld guided missiles. Unreal. In the other part of the video you see the anti-air coming from multiple different positions, but it’s still amazing how effective they are taking out one chopper after another. Wonder if any of those paratroopers made it to the ground.
& @sierragator Looked like a damn video game. I edited my post and whittled it down to that innocuous little comment, because I didn't want to betray my guilty enjoyment of it--I mean, we're witnessing the actual deaths of actual human beings in that vid--even if they're soldiers in war machines looking to kill ppl, even civilians--they're still human beings (...and who knows if they're reluctant participants following orders, or gung-ho killers....). ...but that was indeed some compelling shit. Maybe Putin's war machine isn't quite as shitty or incompetent as I surmised based on their futilty in Ukraine--perhaps it's a matter of Ukraine actually having some pretty damn effective toys of their own (from whatever source)--because that video amounted to a dude in a hill, picking off a couple of choppers, a tank, a jet fighter (or two), an armored vehicle... I mean damn, that's some sick ROI! Looks like Russia ran into a buzzsaw, more than they're actually incompetent.
Cowards. Just cowards. Ukrainians will have to shoot their own in this scenario which will then give more propaganda ammo to Russia...."see? Killing their own who just want to be with Mother Russia".
The Ukrainians are making good use of the equipment the west is sending them. They have the will to fight, they just need the tools. I say arm them to the teeth and let them make Ivan bleed.
Regarding the planes/no planes, I hope that it's because they're in a different batch or that the Ukranians are lying & just hiding what they got. If not holy crap the Pentagon/State Dept need to get their acts together about what's being sent and not being sent. Right now everything should be on the table other than nukes. Just dysfunctional like most other things in government, but you'd THINK they'd get their act together & know what actually is being sent.
I've had problems with videos before, and usually refreshing my browser fixes it (I'm on my phone with Chrome)
