For those (not here but elsewhere) claiming fake news "CNN team witnesses removal of bodies from a Bucha basement From CNN's Vasco Cotovio, Frederik Pleitgen, Byron Blunt and Daria Markina in Bucha, Ukraine Ukrainian officials showed international media the removal of five bodies from a basement in Bucha, a suburb of Kyiv recently retaken by Ukrainian forces. A CNN team visited the basement and saw the bodies before removal. They were in advanced stage of decomposition. ..... The men were found in an area held by the Russian military until a few days ago. Several foxholes, trenches and positions for armored vehicles were still visible around the site, as were leftover Russian rations. Several "V" letters — informal symbols for the Russian military campaign — were also painted at the entrance to the territory. The dead men had their hands tied behind their back and most of them had several gunshot wounds, not just to the head, but also to the lower limbs. There were several cartridge casings on the floor next to the bodies. .... A volunteer told CNN they have been recovering bodies in large numbers, saying, “it’s in the hundreds, not dozens.” The volunteer and his unit showed CNN the body bags of at least 30 people who had been recovered on Sunday, plus an additional nine on Monday, including the five found in the basement. "
Wow. Usually, like, the equivalent of Holocaust Denial or Moon Landing Denial takes a few years to manifest. This dude is way ahead.
I'm not here to defend TC, but I'm not sure he said that. It says "tonight" with am 8:30am time stamp. Maybe it was pre-recorded that far in advance, but that seems unlikely in the 24 hour news world
Think the gentleman that posted it did so with that timestamp. I don't watch the show. There are others corroborating it was said but will try to get a tweet that has video of it. Edit - can't find anything on it & now it's a mix of tweets saying he said it & other saying that's what he's going to say tonight because all he does is support Putin. You may be right on this one.
Reminds me of Alex Jones' reference to the Sandy Hook victims as "child actors". And as was the case with Jones a number of gullible low information Americans will believe the words of Tucker "the useful idiot" Carlson.
I'm sure those murdering folks in 3rd world countries are all angels. And what are the returns from weakening Russia? Would they start selling less weapons? Look less to de-stabilize western countries? And what have been their successes so far in destabilizing western countries? How would that compared to the effect of cutting off Russian gas, in turn making China's energy sources more secure, and most importantly weakening the hold of the dollar on the financial world? If setups like CIPS and the petroyuan become a real thing, wouldn't that destabilize the western world, particularly the United States, ever more than whatever Russia's been doing? Russia taking control of Ukraine is, at worst, a return to status quo ante 2014. The balance of power at the time is such that Russia is at best a nuisance to us, and still wary enough of Chinese encroachment in the CARs to possibly be turned to at least a neutral party in the fight against China. Events since then have cemented the Sino-Russian bloc, and the two are working hard to turn India, who's already been sanctioned not too long ago and is still under the threat of sanctions by the US for violating CAATSA. We could have divided and conquered, but now we're forcing our adversaries into an united bloc. We kept most of it, as well as our conquests in Asia. They're allowed some autonomy but almost all of their economy as well as military is tied deeply to ours, giving us the power to destroy their country should they ever wish to become independent let alone turn to our enemies. Don't get me wrong, they get plenty out of the arrangement too. We have plenty of carrots along with the sticks, but let's not pretend they have independent foreign policies. At best they can voice their disagreement, make some protest gestures. They were very much against Trump repealing the Iran nuclear deal, did they start buying Iranian oil? No. A few members were very much against the 2nd Iraqi war, did they send arms to Saddam? No. Despite many European countries' attempts to avoid the Huawei ban, especially in light of actual evidence that we've been spying on the using American equipment, they all ended up acceding to our demands. This is why it's so important to preserve the institutions that bind them to us, ties we paid countless lives and treasures for. Weakening those institutions would mean a Europe (and SK and Japan) that's more independent minded and difficult to control.
Never said they were. Most of them respect their neighbors borders. And those third world non angels don't have nuclear weapons.
We were asked to put them there to help keep those countries safe from Russia. Jesus. Read a book about history before you wave your liberal/communist flag.
How does that make sense? Would confronting Russia make them reduce their nuclear stockpile or make them less likely to use them? Why is evil judged by respecting a country's borders? Were we evil for not respecting Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Serbia, Libya, Syria, etc.'s borders? What is our goal? Clearly state it, and the reasoning behind it, so we don't have to keep moving the goalpost to justify our current course of action.
When we are asked, we respond. If you don't know the history of Russia/Soviet hegemony, I am not going to teach it now. As for our errors in the middle east I think a lot of American blood has been needlessly spilled. I think in the Ukraine it is pretty clear. Russia is bad/evil, Ukraine is good not perfect.
