The new satellite images show the protective berms around Russian military equipment near Ozera and the Antonov Air Base. Additional Russian military equipment, and some berm construction, are also seen in the villages of Zdvyzhivka and Berestyanka, further northwest." .... There's an image with the article. Really good satellite pic. It has a copyright on it though
Terminator’s anti-war video getting some exposure. Hopefully some Russians can see it. “liberal journalist Anton Orekh said his message contained no "Russophobia". “We are outcasts in the world.. Arnold is one of the few people who addressed Russians not as savage orcs, but as good people who have lost their ways," "opposition politician Lev Shlosberg said it had been filmed "with respect towards us, Russian people. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a unique ability to talk to anyone with persuasion, respect and on equal terms. Wits, power and justice. Have a listen. Think about it. Understand," “the video had been viewed nearly 25m times and had been retweeted 325,000 times.“ Arnie's anti-war film trends on Russian social media - BBC News

Russian media report about American troops being killed in Ukraine is false, National Guard says - CNNPolitics "Three American troops that a Russian media outlet claimed had been killed in Ukraine are all alive, and none are in Ukraine, the National Guard said in a Thursday statement. The three men described by Russian website Pravda.ru as slain American "mercenaries" were deployed to Ukraine with the Tennessee National Guard in 2018 as part of a multinational training mission to support the Ukrainian military. All three had come back to the US by 2019, the Guard said." ....... *facepalm* and that's another example of why folks shouldn't listen to Russian media.
Vladimir Putin celebrates Crimea annexation with rally as Russia continues onslaught of Ukraine - CNN Some highlights: Technical issues cut Putin's speech. Kremlin neither confirming or denying the event was prerecorded. State workers were told to go, what to wear, etc. A teacher said it wasn't in her contract and against her morals, said her friend refused to go and that friend was fired. Usual "Russia is united" stuff.
None. I’m not building a case here. But I’m dead certain that Ukraine is sharing information with us on purpose and Russia is not.
Of course Russia isn’t sharing any information with us but most of our intelligence comes from our own gathering of information.
A Chinese source...kudos for him! Cnn live "A Chinese vlogger shared videos of war-torn Ukraine. He's been labeled a national traitor From CNN's Jessie Yeung and Yong Xiong Wang Jixian didn't set out to become the Chinese voice of resistance in Ukraine. The 36-year-old resident of Odesa, a key target in Russia's invasion of the country, simply wanted to show his parents he was fine. "I'm coming back from buying groceries," he said in a video posted to Douyin, China's version of TikTok, on February 24, the first day of the invasion. Wang, a programmer originally from Beijing, described buying meat and fruit in the video, remarking that some food stores were still open. ..... "I was very angry, then I thought I would record videos for them, and I'll tell them what the real battlefield is," he told CNN. His daily videos, posted across various platforms including YouTube and the Chinese messaging app WeChat, quickly gained traction as a rare voice offering Chinese audiences a glimpse into war-torn Ukraine — a stark contrast from Chinese state media, which has promoted Russian disinformation such as unfounded claims Ukrainian soldiers are using "Nazi" tactics. In one widely-watched video, Wang held up his Chinese passport and said, "These Ukrainian guards are not Nazis, they are IT programmers, common people, barbers — these are the people." But in doing so, he had waded into the middle of a messy controversy, with China facing international pressure as it refuses to condemn Russia's invasion, and an outpouring of pro-Russia sentiment on China's highly restricted and censored social media — something Wang is hoping to change."

Reading reports elsewhere about Russian helicopters ablaze at russian controlled airfield and ukranian offensive around the city of Kyiv In Ukraine’s south, Ukrainian forces down two Russian Su-30 fighter jets (ukrinform.net) At 5:00 am on Wednesday, March 16, in the south of Ukraine, the anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Command South shot down two Russian Su-30SM supermaneuverable fighter jets. The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine broke the news on Facebook, Ukrinform reports. "A pair of fighter jets manned by the occupation forces attempted to attack a village in Odess region. The anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Command South destroyed both warplanes. The pilots ejected and followed the aircraft into the Ukrainian Black Sea," the statement said. Russian invasion: The war in Ukraine in maps: Counterattacks slowing down Russian advance | International | EL PAÍS English Edition (elpais.com) Russian troops did not make any significant gains on any front on Thursday. Ukrainian counterattacks, particularly in the Kyiv area, inflicted “heavy casualties” on the Kremlin’s forces, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Incessant Ukrainian counterattacks are forcing Russia to divert a large number of troops to defend their own supply lines, said the United Kingdom’s Defence Ministry in its daily update. “This is severely limiting Russia’s offensive potential.” “Reluctance to maneuver cross-country, lack of control of the air and limited bridging capabilities are preventing Russia from effectively resupplying their forward troops with even basic essentials such as food and fuel,” added the report. Ukrainian forces continued to repel Russian efforts to encircle Kyiv and the southern city of Mykolaiv. But the cities of Kharkiv, Chernihov, Sumy and Mariupol are encircled and under constant shelling.
Ukraine Strikes Back: Barrage Leaves Russian-Occupied Kherson Airbase In Flames (Updated) (thedrive.com) A satellite image The War Zone has obtained from Planet Labs confirms that Ukrainian forces have damaged and destroyed a number of Russian helicopters, and caused other damage, in an attack on Kherson Airbase in the southern part of the country today. This is the second major Ukrainian attack in as many weeks on this base. Russian forces first claimed to have taken control of Kherson, which occupies a strategic location on the northern shore of the Dnieper River, some two weeks ago. The image, portions of which are seen below, was taken at 11:35 AM UTC, or 1:35 PM local time on March 15th, 2022. Multiple large fire sources, including a number of burning helicopters, can be clearly seen on one of the base's main ramps. Thick black smoke emanating from various points could well be obscuring additional damage beyond what is readily visible. There do appear to be other fires burning under the smoke plume, indicating core infrastructure at the base was also damaged or destroyed. A number of other small fires burn around the base — which is just covered with vehicles following Russia's seizure of it — as well.
