You would think that, but the reality is there are plenty of performative shitbags in waiting for that time slot. Hell there are several on the network that are just about as bad even on the Ukraine issue (Watters, Ingraham, etc.). So I really think it’s as much about Newscorp and the $$$ as anything. Either the directive from the top has to change or this is the direction they will keep going.
Everyone should be a little more afraid. Today, the elite in Moscow have all been evacuated. Putin is losing this war and god only knows what he might try next to turn the tide.
Read these "FSB Letters" from an FSB analyst. FSB is the Russian agency responsible for internal security and counter-intelligence. These letters discuss how dire things are in Russia and on the battlefield. Their war efforts in Ukraine are hitting major roadblocks - massive loss of troops, loss of communications. They indicate their economy will cease to exist by June. Kadyrov has gone nuts. We (FSB) were very close to a conflict with him because the Ukrainians claimed to having received intel from the FSB on his squad in Kyiv. Kadyrov's squad was absolutely demolished before they even had a chance to fight and they got blown to pieces. I do not have any info that it was an FSB leak to Ukraine, so I’d give it a 1-2% chance – but can’t exclude this possibility completely. Our conditional deadline is June. Conditional because in June there will be no economy left in Russia – there will be nothing left. A new reality has arrived. There are no hopes for a “Victory in Ukraine” – even the taking of Kiev would yield nothing, and even the taking of the entire Ukraine would not lead to victory. And the prospect of such a “capture” (of Kiyv or of Ukraine) do not appear very realistic. To put it mildly. OT from Letter #4 but damned interesting on several levels: The Iranians made some noise, but it turned out to be IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard) saber-rattling: they were aiming at Mossad (Israeli intelligence agency) facilities, apparently based on intel that Mossad fed them (IRGC didn’t know the info was coming from Mossad), but Mossad set them up them up to hit US facilities instead. (MY COMMENT: Before people start freaking out – 1) Mossad likely fed bad coordinates to IRGC so there’s minimal damage & 2) Mossad warned the US of the attack before it happened. No, Mossad did not betray/setup US. It would’ve been done in coordination betweenIsrael/US.)
Either he's putting them in bunkers to keep them from escaping, or he's going to launch nukes and is protecting his "assets".
This is like the plot from a really bad 1980's movie. Maybe someone like Rock Hudson staring in it with Hanoi Jane.....hmmmmm
Reading these latest quotes remind me of that line in "The Hunt for Red October" where the WH Chief of Staff is holding the meeting and one of the generals says: "Oh My God, They've got a madman on their hands..." "My God. They've Got A Madman On Their Hands."
How desperate Putin has just three moves left against Ukraine... and is running out of time: War expert JUSTIN BRONK says Russian ruler is in a 'dangerous position' but his BIGGEST difficulty is 'selling his disastrous war as a victory to his own people' Russia-Ukraine: What happens next and how can each side win? | Daily Mail Online
Except, importantly, they did not have a madman on their hands in that story. The Russians wanted the Americans to think they had a madman on their hands, so the Americans would do or not do precisely what the Russians intended. Very possible that is the case here, too.
You are clearly a Putin apologist with some weird agenda. Your claim of looking at this like you're Spock is total bullshit. There are hundreds of videos showing indiscriminate shelling and attacks against civilian structures. I'm guessing you believe that the cultural center that was targeted really did have a bunch of Nazis hiding in the cellar.
Much earlier in this thread, I included this link from Tom Friedman. Looking back at the column Putin may really be in a state of panic considering Russia's long history of governmental changes following military defeats, either real or apparent. Opinion | Putin Has No Good Way Out, and That Really Scares Me From the column I can’t even wrap my mind around what kind of financial and political shocks will radiate from Russia — this country that is the world’s third-largest oil producer and possesses some 6,000 nuclear warheads — when it loses a war of choice that was spearheaded by one man, who can never afford to admit defeat. Why not? Because Putin surely knows that “the Russian national tradition is unforgiving of military setbacks,” observed Leon Aron, a Russia expert at the American Enterprise Institute, who is writing a book about Putin’s road to Ukraine. “Virtually every major defeat has resulted in radical change,” added Aron, writing in The Washington Post. “The Crimean War (1853-1856) precipitated Emperor Alexander II’s liberal revolution from above. The Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905) brought about the First Russian Revolution. The catastrophe of World War I resulted in Emperor Nicholas II’s abdication and the Bolshevik Revolution. And the war in Afghanistan became a key factor in Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev’s reforms.” Also, retreating from Cuba contributed significantly to Nikita Khrushchev’s removal two years later.
Interesting the companies staying in Russia or “digging in” according to this study. Subway is staying. (once in link scroll to bottom for list) “4) DIGGING IN - Defying Demands for Exit: companies defying demands for exit/reduction of activities” Over 400 Companies Have Withdrawn from Russia—But Some Remain
“some 6,000 nuclear warheads — when it loses a war of choice that was spearheaded by one man, who can never afford to admit defeat.” too early to discuss taking that one man out?
