I know history. I know exactly why Japan attacked us. And we got dragged into the war because Japan attacked us. Sudetenland did matter. Because Germany was not contained. And it got stronger and was emboldened afterward. And Sudetenland was a big part of that. But it is a weak comparison true. Because post-Soviet Russia invaded other countries before Ukraine. We are past Sudetenland

Really? You think Putin was emboldened by Trump. Trump has been out for two years, but continue to blame him.

100% he was emboldened and enabled by Trump. And Trump has been out just under 14 months.

No, but her family still has some influence with the sole decision maker. If the Clintons call the White House, they’re going to get a chance to speak with the President. It’s the same principle as us putting pressure on Russian oligarchs who aren’t officially in charge but could still get Putin on the phone. However, if I was President Biden and one of the Trumps, Lauren Boebert et al called me to cry about Putin stealing from them, I’d laugh and wonder if Putin was trying to encourage me to tighten the screws further.

Totally missed the point. You were hoodwinked by a conman. I have no idea what emboldened Putin. There are a lot of people guessing but none of that has anything to do with your supporting a conman for president.

    Cnn live:

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dropped his clearest hint yet that he does not expect his country to join NATO anytime soon.

"For years we have been hearing about how the door is supposedly open (to NATO membership) but now we hear that we cannot enter. And it is true, and it must be acknowledged," he said during an address by video link to leaders of the British-led Joint Expeditionary Force. "I am glad that our people are beginning to understand this and rely on themselves and on our partners who assist us."
    ....
    • Article 5: Zelensky also criticized the effectiveness of NATO's Article 5 provision — the principle that an attack on one member is an attack on all — calling it "weak." His comments came as key cities in Ukraine, including around Kyiv and Mariupol, reported extensive damage and dire situations for residents. The US is reluctant to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine or supply the country with jets, two things repeatedly requested by Zelensky, as it could escalate into a direct confrontation with Russia.
"Some states of alliance have intimidated themselves, saying that they can't answer. That they cannot collide with Russian missiles and planes in the Ukrainian sky. Because this, they say, will lead to escalation, will lead to the Third World War. … And what will they say if Russia goes further to Europe, attacking other countries? I am sure the same thing they say to Ukraine. Article 5 of the NATO treaty has never been as weak as it is now. This is just our opinion," Zelensky said."
    .......

I don't blame him for being upset. At all. It seems more than once they were told one thing (ie, "we've got your back against Russia if you give back the nukes) and then something else is done later.

Finland & Sweden looking to join NATO with borders with Russia, Norway in NATO with borders in Russia. If NATO accepts them after turning its back on Ukraine, what message does that send? Other than everyone caving to Putin that is.

The official story from NATO spokespeople is that Ukraine is welcome to join, but they have yet to meet the criteria for membership. Looking at the criteria listed in this older link below, I would guess that Finland and Sweden would meet the criteria in the eyes of NATO partners.

Nobody is blaming Trump for this invasion. Would have happened no matter who is in office
he is showing that Ukraine joining NATO is not what this war is about. Because if it was, the war would stop. Easy agreement then. But NATO is not what this war is about. Too many people buying Putin’s lie.
