"Moscow Stock Exchange will not resume trading next week, Russian Central Bank says

    From CNN's Pierre Meilhan

Russia’s Central Bank said Saturday it will not resume trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange in the equity market during the week of March 14.

The Bank of Russia also said via its website that the foreign currency market will reopen at 10 a.m. local time (2 a.m. ET) on Monday and commodity trading will also resume then.

As for stock market operations during the week of March 21, the central bank indicated that it will make an announcement at a later date.

The exchange has been closed since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, as the United States, European Union and other Western allies imposed sanctions and the Russian ruble plunged to record lows against the US dollar."

"Ukrainian officials accuse Russians of planning a referendum for "independence" in southern region

From CNN's Paul Murphy, Tim Lister and Julia Kesa

A senior Ukrainian official in the southern region of Kherson, which is now under Russian occupation, has said that the Russians are pressing the regional council to agree to a referendum on the area's "independence" from Ukraine.

Serhiy Khlan, a deputy of the Kherson regional council, said "the occupiers are preparing a referendum on the creation of the People's Republic of Kherson."

He said local deputies were being called to ask if they are ready for "cooperation."

"I flatly refused to co-operate with them," Khlan said.
"The creation of the People's Republic of Kherson will turn our region into a hopeless hole without life and future.""

And the “corruption” angle is straight from Q. There are 100 threads about it on their nutjob sites.

Although I’m not sure if Trump or Q started it. But I believe I recall some random threads on GA about it before Trump ran with it.

I sincere doubt Trump himself can be focused enough to take notes from Q. But he was surrounded with the very ones who are likely to actually have started or at least commandeered the whole madness, like Flynn and Kraken lady. They plant these ideas in bite-size nuggets and voila, the amp is cranked to 11.

It’s also hard to tell how many genuine users are on the Q boards versus Russian and other trolls. IMO there are some glaringly obvious phony actors, many are not even very clever. You can almost hear the Russian accents reading some posts. But all users there absolutely eat it up. And even counting the ones I feel are a little suspicious, there are a LOT of true believers.

And what they think about you, assuming you are a “normie”, is terrifying. Someone will occasionally say “pray for them” or something, then there will be 100 responses in 5 minutes saying “No, hang them in their own yard.”

This is the world that Flynn and the rest of those menaces embrace.

When you go to the polls and vote, whatever party you belong to, ask yourself if it is better to vote for those who have stood by and kissed Putin’s ring or tried to cut off aid fro Ukraine or wanted to weaken NATO. Believe the garbage that there is an invasion at the Southern border that is a bigger threat than that posed by Russia. Believe that China poses an greater threat after Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Georgia, Chechnya, Crimea, Donbas, and now Ukraine. Believe that we funded bioweapons research in Ukraine. And countries in between. Wake up and know theyoy are the victims of propaganda and it is only your blind stupidity they is keeping you from seeing it. Always be wary, left or right, of the garbage you are sold along with the message you ageee with. Because the dangerous lies are always accompanied by a truth that draws you in.

This will soon propagate among trump followers and diminish our united front against Russia’s murderous invasion.

“Television pundits and high-profile political figures have helped spread the claim even further. Fox News host Tucker Carlson devoted segments on his shows on Wednesday and Thursday to promoting the conspiracy theory. On Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr. said conspiracy theories around the labs were proven to be a “fact” in a tweet to his 7.3 million followers.

Both Carlson and Trump misrepresented congressional testimony from a State Department official saying the U.S. was working with Ukraine to secure material in the biological labs, suggesting that indicated the labs were being used for illegitimate purposes.”

Because obviously that’s where you’d put them, in the country that was already invaded a decade ago and has been on the clock since, has no ability to stop the pending invasion, and is outside of your worldwide protection club.

Also, so clandestine that the guy literally picked by…the military?—whoever “they” are in this case is confusing even by Q standards—couldn’t identify or stop them for four years, yet so obvious that 10’s of thousands of American couch surfers can pin them on Google Maps.

So, let’s see what Carlson’s ratings are next time they are released. More people believe this than most are willing to credit. Propaganda is very effective when it “sticks it to the libs.” Even if the
Propaganda is not true. And even when the “libs” are western democracies or RINOs like Mitt Romney. The number 1 rated host in the number 1 rated news network in the country is a person who his own Network says cannot be believed. Yet they trot him out every night and he repeats falsehoods we see posted here and cling to despite the falsehood. And most of the really right wing guys left here 4 years ago.

Maybe overly optimistic, I expect Carlson's popularity as well as that of the former president to decline as more viewers see the videos from Ukraine. That being said, no matter what there will probably still be some who believe the Russian propaganda that the war was the fault of Ukraine or that that videos are doctored and/or the dead and wounded are "crisis actors".

What would be interesting is if the future victims of Russia (Poland, Moldova, etc.) could be persuaded to join the fight a little early. Biden could persuade them to form ARTO (Anti-Russian Treaty Organization) with Ukraine, and then start fighting in Ukraine. Poland would have to liberate Belarus first, but that should not be a problem. Russia has their hands full with Ukraine, and could not stand up to these other countries on multiple fronts. Russia would likely not use nukes against their former Soviet satellite states, especially since they are not in NATO. Poland is already willing to contribute their fighter jets to the battle, so they are not that far from committing troops.

    From CNN live:

"Seven civilians killed while trying to evacuate Kyiv region, Ukrainian Defense Ministry says

    From CNN Staff

Seven civilians, including women and a child, were killed while trying to flee Ukraine's Kyiv region, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed Saturday.

"Russians shot at a column of women and children in Kyiv region, who were trying to evacuate along a previously agreed 'green' corridor. The result of this brutal act - seven dead. One of them is a child," a tweet from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.

However, an update from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine said the civilians were fleeing on a route that was not an agreed-upon "green corridor."

Russia did not immediately comment on this incident, but has denied targeting civilians since invading Ukraine last month."

I like it. But I am also willing to establish a No Russian Zone via NATO now.

But regarding this Poland jet thing: umm, wha?

So Poland will supply the jets, but only if the US accepts them first and uses US bases.

The US is all about the jets, but only if Poland sends them.

What is this nonsense? It’s like a procedural court argument, maybe standing.

It’s as if Russia would be forced to just accept them if only we could work out the legalities. Clearly they are super beholden to protocol, after all. I mean, what could they possibly do if we could find the legal loopholes? They would just have to take their bombings, like gentlemen, that’s what!

But without the proper forms, they might be pissed.

Sure it’s worth asking. The answer is readily available

    - Quite obviously Putin felt more comfortable with Trump than other presidents and perceived more alignment in interests. Invading while Trump was President could endanger that alignment

    - Putin clearly has a bee in his bonnet about NATO, and Trump repeatedly questioned the need for NATO and frequently stirred the pot within NATO and alienated member nations.

    - The Western populist movement throughout has been supported by Putin and also gained some support from Trump.

    - Once Biden was in office Zelinski ratcheted up volume on become part of NATO because he perceived Biden was more friendly to it.

In spite of all the above Russia was still steadily increasing forces near Ukraine during the Trump admin.

So yes it is entirely possible that this doesn’t happen under Trump, but mostly for reasons that aren’t good.

Nope. Happens no matter who the POTUS is now. Who the US POTUS is has nothing to do with Putin's end game.
