That it's a neutral source doesn't validate the authenticity of the data they are presenting. Lots of neutral sources out there wrong about lots of things. While I concede a 10:1 kill ratio wouldn't necessitate a swift end to the war all cases, I would need to see much more evidence that such a ratio (or anything like it) is present in this conflict. There are other dynamics which could, in theory, lend to such a scenario, but I don't see these kinds of dynamics present in Ukraine. For example, we know that despite a near 10:1 kill ratio of North Vietnamese/Vietcong soldiers to American soldiers, the U.S. were bogged down in Vietnam. Totally different set of dynamics in 'nam, though.
No argument that kill ration alone doesn’t guarantee a defeat. The U.S. killed over a million in Vietnam and still lost. And aerial bombing alone did not defeat Germany, nor did the atom bombs alone defeat Japan.
Most people's opinions have been assigned to them by "their team." Once they get on the stupid train they can't get off. You and I seem to be immune to this disorder. Maybe because we value the right answer over what's best for "our team."
You consistently regurgitate garbage sources. Every single source I have seen from you and the other Russian simp is absolute bogus data
No just a factual statement. You have the research ability of a caveman who awoke from cryosleep and put in front of a computer.
Yes, but she warms me up. In addition to her silky voice she’s a concert pianist, has a degree in economics and speaks with languages … typical Russian woman …
One difference between the two countries is that Ukraine needs to maintain some credibility with the West to continue receiving aid from us. No one likes doing business with a liar. We accept that there are some things like casualty reports that Ukraine wants to keep secret, so we estimate Ukrainian casualties as best as we can (and we are using our military and military think tanks to do so). Russia has no such need for honesty, and as a "communist" country, is prone to lying and hiding the truth. This helps them push their false narratives--they use propaganda as a force multiplier in this type of conflict.
While you’re right about Ukraine needing PR wins for a Western audience, when it comes to Russia you’re curiosity has never risen above … … Russia is THE evil player and if you question such you’re paid by the Kremlin and … … the war is SOLELY Russia’s fault and if you question such you’re a Putin troll and … … if you doubt that the war has crippled Russia which economy is facing impending collapse you’re Lee Harvey Oswald. Serious question. How could you possibly come to any reasonable conclusion that this war is helping the Russian economy? It is a war time economy. Their central bank has set benchmark interest rates at 21%. Does that sound good to you?
In mid January the IMF raised it's prediction for 2024 Russian GDP from 3.6% to 3.8%. In late 2024 Putin said he thought it would be 3.9-4.0%. The reported 4.1% seems about right. Russia is trying to slow down it's economic growth. Putin is expecting 2-2.5% GDP growth in 2025. To my knowledge Russian GDP estimates are accurate. China's estimates are greatly exaggerated. Would be nice if you could post more like a man allesd like a child
My problem is more with the sources you use. Everything I see from you is straight from Russia or some clown on X. IMF says 3.6% (maybe 3.8% revision somewhere). https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/NGDP_RPCH@WEO/RUS?zoom=RUS&highlight=RUS Would be nice if you would just research as you learn in even grade school by evaluating sources. I actually agree with your conclusion on this. They are trying to slow their economy with incredibly high interest rates because they have had extreme inflation.
