I never denied that the U.S. and Britain played a minor role in defeating the Nazis. *waits for the howling to commence*
Britain commenced bombing civilian targets six months prior to Germany responding in kind. But barbarism.
The U.S. played the largest role in defeating the Nazis. The U.S. not only manufactured weapons and ammunition for its own soldiers, it did so for Russia and England. We also provided cold weather clothing for Russian troops, and sent hundreds of thousands of trucks to them. Stalin admitted after the war that Russia would have never succeeded against Germany without U.S. assistance. Russia provided more troops and had more casualties than America, but those troops would not have succeeded without U.S. assistance. Russia's tanks could not even operate during the coldest parts of winter without the synthetic oil that the U.S. provided for them. Add in the difficulties of the largest amphibious landing in the history of warfare AND the fact that the U.S. was fighting two wars on opposite sides of the earth at the same time, and there is no question that the U.S. was the leader in bringing the Allies to victory. The Russians spent the first part of the war negotiating with Hitler to divide Poland. They spent the months after the war, taking possession of all of the countries of eastern Europe and setting up puppet governments. Russia was a disgrace. Now, once again, they are a disgrace to humanity and civilization.
Ukraine has developed a new thermite drone that attacks damaged Russian tanks and ensures that they cannot be repaired and used again. Russia takes extra measures to protect their tanks against shrapnel, but those measures do no good against these drones. The Ukrainian company can make 20,000 of these drones per month. Russia can produce 100 tanks a month at the most. This molten thermite drone ammo burns through damaged Russian tanks at over 3000 degrees to make sure they stay dead
Ukraine has re-captured its first village in eastern Luhansk in three years. The village of Nadia is now in Ukrainian hands. Russian troops are now said to be suffering from exhaustion. Ukraine captures first village in Luhansk in three years
Russia whines about Ukraine blowing up a natural gas metering station in Kursk as they were leaving the province, while Russia continues to attack energy infrastructure and cities in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine trade blame over attack on Russian gas metering station
The long game is beginning to see results. Give up space to kill as many Russians as possible, utilizing every standoff weapon you can, drones, tube artillery, rocket artillery, toss bombing, etc. to destroy enemy advances, massacre their infantry, and most of all destroy their command and control, strike capabilities, logistics, and their oil & gas industry that props up their economy. In the meantime, protect your infantry and armored assets at all costs. Once Russia is exhausted, demoralized, and unsupplied you hit them with all the above AND your ground forces and walk over them.
An interesting article on Putin's real aims in Ukraine. He feels that Russia, as the world's largest country with the most natural resources, should not just be the 8th country in the G7 economic group, it should be the primary superpower in the world, with global influence as such. He wants NATO reduced in size to what it was before the USSR cold war. He likes throwing the world into chaos and seeing what opportunities arise from the chaos. He could have chosen to maximize the use of his resources, educate his people, and develop his country into a modern juggernaut while respecting other nations, but that would take a lot of work and may take more than his lifetime. He wants to be in charge now. Putin doesn't seem to realize that it was the USSR's abuse and subjugation of eastern European countries that drove these countries to join NATO when given the chance, not some witch's spell that NATO cast over them. Stop abusing your neighbors, and other countries might trust you. For Vladimir Putin, Russia’s position in the world is personal. Here’s what he really wants It's tragic to see that Dimwit Donald is helping this monster achieve his goals.
oil depots, bridges, railroads, weapons depots, air defenses, refineries, etc all the body blows and playing defense for so long. Now is not the time for a cease fire
Russia offers millions to 'volunteers' as frontline struggles grow – Ukrainian intelligence According to HUR, in several regions, payments for signing the first contract have risen to over 2 million rubles, and in the Samara region, this amount has reached nearly 4 million rubles. The primary target audience for "volunteers" consists of individuals in difficult financial situations and radicalized youth who are easily swayed by propaganda. Despite substantial financial bonuses, the Kremlin is facing increasing difficulties in replenishing its military units. The Ukrainian Military Intelligence Directorate (HUR) notes that the regular increase in payments indicates a severe shortage of volunteers. "The aggressor state's government is finding it increasingly difficult to recruit enough people to fight, even for substantial amounts of money," the report stated.
Battlefield lasers: Ukraine unveils potent counter-drone system Recently, Ukraine's Armed Forces shared that they are using what is reputedly their own Trident system. This system reportedly effectively counters low-flying targets, understood by experts to include flying bombs from the Shahed family, various types of drones, and more. Col. Vadim Sukharevskyi, the commander of drone units within the Ukrainian army, provided limited information about the Trident. The weapon's existence was disclosed in December last year, and the Trident has reportedly been used in combat, though it's uncertain if it is a singular prototype or if multiple units exist. Most importantly, it remains unclear if it's a wholly Ukrainian-manufactured weapon.
No, it isn’t … from a pure military and economic perspective. But from a diplomatic and informational perspective, it is important that Ukraine appears open to a ceasefire and lets Russia ultimately be the obstacle.
as if we didn't already know that DT is a russian asset are we really this gullible ‘Putin’s not a bad guy’: Eight bombshell revelations from Trump envoy Putin prayed not because Trump was a US presidential candidate, but because he “had a friendship with him, and he was praying for his friend”. Witkoff said Putin gave him a “beautiful portrait” of Trump he had commissioned from a “leading Russian artist” and asked him to bring it back to the White House. Trump “was clearly touched by it”, he said. “This is the kind of connection that we’ve been able to re-establish through, by the way, a simple word called communication,” he added.
