The bridge, over the Konka river, was hit by airstrikes which destroyed two sections of the bridge, sending them crashing into the water below. The Konka is a tributary of the nearby Dnipro, which is classed as the de facto border between Ukraine- and Russia-controlled areas of the Kherson region.
