You posted more words. Admittedly unenlightened words, but words nonetheless. I didn’t read an answer to my question in those words. Do I need to rephrase the question?
How about equipment for a couple more armored brigades, a wing or two of F-16s, and all the supporting equipment and munitions. We seem to want to bleed both the Ukrainians and the Russians, but ensure that neither wins. Now we have a Russian agent running the country for Putin's behalf, so what was the point of helping Ukraine for the past 3 years only to let the Russians take over our country so they can win?
How could it be worse than the Russians executing a regime change in OUR country, which is exactly where we've ended up?
You're right, the warlords who let Al-Qaeda attack our country should have been left in charge after we cleared Al-Qaeda out because it was very easy to separate them after we invaded. Again, we pay all this money for defense and intelligence it seems we cannot to this day connect, or do not want to connect, the dots to the actual threats that we face. Look at Israel - the best intelligence agency in the world who can plant bombs in pagers that every Hamas member has and blow them up, but somehow had no idea Hamas was going to attack them. The math just doesn't add up. Intelligence agencies do not seem to actually manage threats, except certain ones, proactively, because we find it in our long term interests to drop the ball and generate extreme profits for our defense industries. Look where it has gotten us, a country who doesn't believe in anyone or anything anymore, and now we have oligarchs running the country looting it.
In fact there wasn't a question mark to be found anywhere in your post that I was responding to. So feel free to ask an actual question and I will do my best to answer it.
Sounde like a fake poll that gets money from corrupt institutions like USAID. If Zelensky was popular why did he cancel elections?
To add to this…in a months time we have burned our bridges and relationships with every single ally the US has. None of this matters to anyone? God forbid something happen to us again as a country, we’re now going to rely on Russia, North Korea, or Hungary to have our back? Are we just going to expect that all of these allies we’ve treated like crap are just going to be there for us? We’re setting ourselves up for complete and utter failure on the global stage and it’s going to absolutely come back to haunt us
Your point is, I think, that although Trump has said a mouthful, the fact that our military support hasn’t changed is what’s more important. Fair enough. So what could that mean? 1. Trump is playing 3D chess by cozying up to Putin, trolling Zelenskyy and trolling Europe, all the while increasing military support. The problem is if he is truly masterfully manipulating the situation, why is he and his admin making concessions before even getting to the negotiating table. 2. Trump is saying and doing one thing, but the military is status quo. It could simply be that Trump hasn’t gotten around to actually changing course as of yet. 3. Trump is running his mouth and has no idea what the military is doing. Given Zelenskyy’s exasperation and sharp responses, is he also part of this masterful headfake dance that Trump is orchestrating to lure Putin to the negotiating table? None of that makes any sense. Trump is saying what he wants to do. Eventually he will get around to doing it. Given what Trump is saying re Ukraine and what he, Vance, and Hegadeath are saying in Europe, I’m embarrassed to be an American right now. It is shameful.
Of course. Your theory is that we have switched sides in this conflict. How does the fact that we have not only maintained but also increased military measures since Inauguration fit into this theory?
Day 1 of the Ukraine war: Biden administration was ready to fight to the last Ukrainian Ukraine was prepared to fight to the last US dollar
I never said the President was playing 3D chess, and I likely never will. All I said was it’s possible that the ridiculous words are designed to bring Putin to the table. After Putin gets to table, we will see. It’s not how I would do it, to be sure. But the whole idea that we have “switched sides” does not jive with other factors that are difficult to explain away. And we all agree that the President cannot make Ukraine agree to any deal. Maybe the President really does think he can pull off a great deal if he gets Russia to the table. I don’t know. I think negotiations at this point are a fool’s errand except for revealing what most of us already know about Russia. I do see some value in that. Apart from that, it was a campaign promise to try ending the war by negotiations, so even talks that are doomed to fail might be worth it in the President’s mind. I don’t believe that is any kind of grand strategic thinking, but it does make more sense to me than “Trump is going to cut off military aid and lift the sanctions … but he hasn’t gotten around to it yet with renaming the Gulf” or “… but he doesn’t understand the military measures we have right now.” I have fully stipulated both that I don’t like the language and that I could be very wrong about my interpretation. Now all any of us can do is wait and see. Nothing (except dumb words) has happened yet.
just relax and pretend to enjoy it..it is his SOP, everyone from porn stars to assault victims can verify
Trump is a traitor. What's next - him becoming the first sitting President to attempt to unlawfully refuse the peaceful transfer of power after an election? Him becoming the first US presidential candidate to documentably accept assistance in an elction from a foreign adversary? Oh, wait.....
