Moldova is going to be an interesting watch now that putin puppets power plants are worthless.

The sheer volume of gas that is going the be flared to keep oil production up is going to accelerate global warming

It’s not brewing. It’s been underway for a little more than a month. More will come into the open about that soon.

Would I have to retract my assertion if a few remained ? Anyway, you’re missing an informative YouTube. Note: the guy has also reported on past skirmishes the Russians have lost so he’s pretty even-handed. But overall Ukraine is getting crushed.

Interesting. I always thought in today’s interconnected world that no news generally means nothing is happening. I would love to see an explosive region that Russia is forced to deal with.

Sustaining high causality rates seems to be in the Russian DNA. It seems to be nothing more than a minor inconvenience to them.

Except that their casualty rates are (I think) astonishingly low based on the character of this new kind of warfare, e.g., pop your head above the trench and be taken out by a drone, step out of the trench and be rendered legless from a mine, etc.

I think he means something with a little more meat on the bone, such as actual reported killings.

As posted over and over again, the virulently anti-Putin Latvian-based Mediazona, working in conjunction with the BBC, salivates over Russian KIA. According to them they confirm reports 82,000 Russian dead. I do not know whether that includes freedom fighters from the former Ukrainian oblasts.

It was true during World War II when Nazi Germany represented an existential threat to the Soviet Union. Not so in Afghanistan and Ukraine still remains to be seen although Putin has recently (within the last three or four months) decided to supplement Russian cannon fodder with North Korean cannon fodder.

Do you know how many Regiments that the AFU have in Donetsk? So when do you think the Russians will take Pokrovsk?

Probably sooner than it took the US to take Afghanistan.

Russia a country that spans 11 time zones and is comprised of people that have Asian facial features. The fabricated narrative was devised in an attempt to trigger Article 5 and was later used by the Biden administration to justify long range attacks into Russia. Even Ukrainians don’t believe it …

Nothing lately, no. But historically speaking, whenever violence starts breaking out at home, ethnic minority units stop paying attention to whatever foreign adventure they’re engaged in and return to protect their families as soon as they can get away with it. That’s one of the good military reasons for not racially or regionally segregating units.

US humiliating loss in Afghanistan decidedly not off-topic for this thread.
