It will be interesting to see the interaction of Trump and Musk going forward. Trump wants to eliminate the EV tax incentives and roll back anything climate related he can. That will retard our move to cleaner energy self-sufficiency and drive up the price of oil/gasoline, the later fulfilling an obligation Trump has to the oil industry. Musk, on the other hand, is obviously a huge supporter of BEVs and at least has a passing concern for the environment. I can see this becoming a huge issue at some point.

Russia will get pasted in ridiculously short order if the US engages them directly. NB: nukes are only effective if you can launch them successfully, then land, and get them to detonate, reasonably close to their intended target. Not sure they can achieve any of those 3 against the US. More likely the cause about 10 mini cherobyl's on the mother land, b4 they realize they picked a fight they can't possibly win. ...and we'll wait with baited breathe for very scary Russia to zip through Europe like scorching hot butter knife (handled bare handed) through a 100 year Sequoia...

DHL plane goes down in Lithuania. Did the Russian sabotage freight work this time? DHL plane crashes in Lithuania amid concern over Russian sabotage Vilnius, Lithuania — A DHL cargo plane crashed early Monday near the airport in Lithuania's capital, killing one person, authorities said as they searched for clues to what caused the tragedy. Lithuanian officials, who in the past weeks have been investigating incendiary devices allegedly sent on Western-bound cargo planes, stopped short of linking the crash with that investigation ........................................................................... "We cannot rule out the case of terrorism. We have warned that such things are possible, we see an increasingly aggressive Russia... but we cannot make any attributions or point fingers yet," Jauniskis said. U.S. and European law enforcement agencies have been working together for weeks to investigate whether incendiary devices that detonated in July at DHL logistics hubs in Germany and Britain were part of a larger operation directed by Russian military intelligence agencies, the highest level of the Russian government, or by outside individuals acting in the interests of Russia, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to CBS News in early November.

Russia's economy on the brink as the 'market is dead' and prices soar Russia's economy is showing increasing signs of strain more than two years on from Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, with one insider gloomily admitting: "The market is dead". Prices for essentials such as milk, potatoes, and butter are soaring, hitting ordinary Russians hard, according to a report produced by Western-aligned Russian broadcaster Current Time. ........................................................................... The UK Government today announced sanctions against 30 ships in Russia's shadow fleet which it says were responsible for transporting billions of dollars of oil and oil products in the last year.
Austria seizes €230 million worth of Russian gas – Reuters Austrian oil and gas company OMV has confiscated Russian gas as payment for an arbitration decision, according to which Gazprom was to reimburse €230 million. On 13 November, OMV said that it had won an arbitration process against Gazprom for €230 million in connection with the irregular deliveries to its German unit and will take immediate action to enforce the ruling. Gazprom cut off its supply to the Austrian firm three days later. According to three Reuters sources close to Gazprom and OMV, the Austrian company confiscated gas supplies totalling €230 million in October. A source close to Gazprom reported that this was the first time a customer from the European Union did not pay for gas supplies. Exclusive-Austria's half-century bond with Gazprom ended by gas seizure, sources say The trigger that ended more than 50 years of gas flows from Russian state energy giant Gazprom to OMV earlier this month was the Austrian group's seizure of Russian gas as payment to cover the value of an arbitration award, five sources told Reuters. OMV was among the few remaining buyers of Russian gas in Europe after Gazprom lost almost all its customers there in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Before the war began, Russia was Europe's single biggest supplier of natural gas. On Nov. 13 OMV said it had won an arbitration case in Germany against Gazprom for 230 million euros ($239 million) in connection with irregular supplies to its German unit, and would take steps to immediately enforce it against Gazprom's invoices. Three days later, Gazprom suspended gas supplies to the Austrian company.
Runways can be fixed quicker than you think. According to the tweet, they were going after an S-400 air defense system located at the air field.
Yep. ....why our resident contingent of Chicom ops acts like very scary Russia is actually scary, and why they are more invested in Ukraine, than Ukraine's own actual refugees. #Chicompuppetparty Lol! I saw what prompted this (incognito). Cheap wins in Loseville!!! Woo woo! (Lol!)
I guess you're just glossing over the fact Russia is a major nuclear power, has made repeated attempts to use them, has Putin as its dictator, staged a massive invasion of another country, is bombing that country's cities and infrastructure into the ground and murdering/raping its civilian population. The level of absolute stupidity not to be "scared" of Russia is mind numbing.

Ukraine will be The Russian Air defense systems are superior to US Air defense. Russian hypersonic missile tech is superior to US missile tech. Overall the Russian military is technologically superior to the US military and the gap is growing. The war will be ended on Russis's terms. Ukraine and Trump will be thrown a bone or two to save face. Trump will try to improve relations between Europe and Russia. Putin always wanted Russia to be a European country. The European Union will struggle to stay together. France and Germany in particular will abandon much of their foolish green agendas. They will rely more on fossil fuels and nuclear energy going forward. Russia and the US will begin to sell more fossil fuels to Europe. Russia will stabilize as a great power (not a superpower). Russia and the US will be dominant in world affairs going forward for the next decade. The Biden administration's Ukraine proxy war against Russia denuded the US's military and strategic capability which Trump and Musk will rebuild (for example, the US is in a weaker position to defend Taiwan because of the Ukraine war). Going forward the US and Russia should become allies and work to thwart terrorists and nuclear proliferation. The Democrats (including Bill Clinton) should try to overcome the anger they felt when the nationalists overthrew the Soviet communists (that's one reason they hate Russia/Putin). Edit: The West should try to bring Iran into its orbit. Better to be friends with Iran (eventually).
Good point. Russia's really been impressing the world with their military technology. The way they converted their black sea navy to covert stationery submarine base, lying dormant until WW III actually starts... genius! ....and the way they keep taking out US army/navy surplus missiles and drones out with their tanks, by sitting their and causing the missiles and drones to crash into them, and taking both out...brilliant! ...and getting all those poor Cuban, African, and No. Korean suckers to man their front lines, since they're running short on willing and able war aged Russian men... super scary. Yeah, I'm trembling as I write this. Maybe we should send another couple hundred million to Ukraine, to keep very scary Russia from mowing right through Ukraine, then mowing down Europe like a butter knife through a full grown red wood, then awakening their hibernating submerged navy to cross the Atlantic and invade us... Down right petrifying.
He doesn't give a crap about the environment. It's just a marketing tool for Musk. . . and one that's worked out rather well for him.
The idea that the the Russian Air Defense systems are superior to the US' is a just a laughable assertion right now. It tells me you actually have no clue about what is going on in the world right now when it comes to military technology. The Israelis just destroyed almost all of Iran's Russian made S-400 with JSF's on their last strike and the S-400 did not even get off a shot. The Ukrainians just took out an S-400 in Kursk with an ATACMS that was designed in the 1980's and was likely manufactured in the 1990's. Russia's military technology is getting destroyed with such ease by US weapons systems that it is becoming an embarrassment to Russia.
Yep, just because this particular war is a bad idea doesn't mean the U.S. is getting everything wrong. Our military tech better be much superior to the Russians, considering our budget. I am more concerned with their hypersonic capabilities, but less so than I am China's capabilities in that area. I think even Russia, Putin understands their tech is vastly inferior, which is why they threaten nuclear retaliation every other day of the week. I also believe they understood the gamble that was going into Ukraine, but in their minds, it's a red line and so here we are.
