That's true. Russian influencers might start promoting a Russia-free lifestyle. That might be even worse.

The EU is providing $39 billion in loans to Ukraine to help them win the war. The Europeans have given Ukraine $132 billion since the war started, or almost 2.5 times as much as the $56 billion that the U.S. has provided. As the Ukraine war enters a critical period, the EU moves ahead without the US
Just a taste of what would happen if Trump won (which he won’t) and he carried through on any threat to cut off military aid to Ukraine (which he wouldn’t). The other Western powers will simply step up their own aid until we are shamed into helping again. They understand the stakes better than some of us about what would happen if we allow Russia to re-normalize conquest.
Before that, he went on and on about "the perfect call." But can you imagine, your country has been getting raped by that madman, and then you have to stand next to that POS as he says "I have a very good relationship with Putin." MAGA ... Trump has a good relationship with a war criminal. And you still don't care. Deplorable.
When you throw out numbers of US aid to Ukraine you should remind the mouth breathers that the bulk of that aid is in the form of used military equipment that likely would have been replaced over the next several years, that we are largely upgrading OUR military equipment while providing assistance to Ukraine.
Looks like Ukraine did it again. They blew up a weapons depot in Volgograd in SW Russia (near Kazakhstan, just north of the Caspian Sea, which is used to ferry Iranian weapons to Russia). A shipment of weapons just arrived from Iran. This depot is called "Kotluban". Once again, Ukraine used long-range drones. More good news for the good guys. This attack is the first test of Russia's new "red line" for using nuclear weapons, since Putin declared that a large-scale drone attack could result in a nuclear response. An interesting look back at the Battle of Irpin in the first month of the war, and how close Russia came to capturing Kiev. Ukraine was narrowly saved by a depleted brigade at partial strength (much less than the 3,000 soldiers it should have had), some hastily gathered volunteers, and an idea by a businessman to blow up a dam, causing the Irpin River to flood. Ukraine faced 10,000 Russian soldiers, with tanks, IFV's, and artillery, and they were initially out of position for the direction that the Russians were coming from. Ukraine was outnumbered close to 5:1 as far as soldiers. Even after the dam was blown up, Russia had a couple days where they could have crossed bridges and made it into Kiev, but they had no detailed plan for invading the city. While they waited for the plan, Ukraine blew up the bridges. Russia's advance on the city was also described as a "parade formation" as opposed to a combat movement. Pathetic. Ukraine was still learning how to use the military equipment that had just been sent to them. For a 2-man Javelin team, one would dig a hole for them to hide in and wait for the ambush, and the other would watch a YouTube video on how to fire it. OTJ training. Amazing. The battle plan was compared to Market Garden in WWII, which was also described as "A Bridge Too Far". The author says that Russia's failure to take Kiev is due to poor planning. They should have rolled through Kiev's defenses like a "hot knife through butter". The battle of Irpin narrowly saved Ukraine. Here's how it went down.
Presumably Ukraine, since they were using weapons that Ukraine designed and fabricated. Doubtful that NATO would sit quietly while that happened.
Little Marco Rubio is a spineless Trumpy grotesquery. These people make me sick. Rubio defends Trump’s approach to Russia-Ukraine war “I’m not on Russia’s side — but unfortunately the reality of it is that the way the war in Ukraine is going to end is with a negotiated settlement,” Rubio said in an interview with Kristen Welker on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And I want, and we want, and, I believe Donald Trump wants, for Ukraine to have more leverage in that negotiation.” On Wednesday, Trump gave one of his strongest signals so far that he will not fully back Ukraine’s aims, saying Ukraine should have “given up a little bit” at a campaign event in North Carolina. On Friday, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump supported a negotiated deal, saying, “It takes two to tango, and we will.” And when asked directly, the former president denied two opportunities to say he wanted Ukraine to win during the last presidential debate against Vice President Kamala Harris. https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/29/marco-rubio-trump-ukraine-russia-war-00181570
An Vance is going full-Putin surrender monkey also. It's weird - does he believe this, and all the other garbage he spews to support Trump......or is he just so spineless that he'll jump when his orange master pulls his strings? The Florida senator also danced around supporting Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance for saying that a peaceful settlement could look like “the current line of demarcation between Russia and Ukraine, that becomes like a demilitarized zone” on a podcast recently. When pressed on whether he would be comfortable with accepting the demarcation agreement Vance proposed, Rubio dodged, saying he would be comfortable with a negotiated deal that ends hostilities and favors Ukraine, “meaning that they have their own sovereignty.” He reiterated that he would not “prejudge any agreement” when asked if that means he did not support Vance’s claims.
If Putin is trying to bring Ukraine back into the Russian fold, why would he attack it with nuclear weapons? Talk about turning what would be left of the population against you.
