In this U.S. proxy war* to see Putin ousted and Russia weakened, I see no evidence that the U.S. is trying to prevent WWIII. Credit would have to go to Putin for his softly but softly approach which has a portion of the Russian public borderline enraged.

*I could have said NATO proxy war, but we all know the U.S. calls the shots.

 

To the contrary, it is Russia which strikes military targets, some times sadly killing civilians.

Contrast that with the Ukronazis spitefully shelling Russian civilians in Belgorod at present.

That said, you are to be commended for your wildly improbable track record of never having been right about anything since February 2022.

The U.S. is not using nuclear weapons on Russia, and is not directly attacking Russia with U.S. soldiers. What more does the U.S. need to do? Mind you, this is better than what Russia did in years past. Not only did the USSR provide weapons to North Korea in a proxy war with the U.S., they also sent Russian military pilots to fly Russian military aircraft to shoot down U.S. planes and kill U.S. pilots in the Korean War. I don't know why anyone would be clueless enough to credit Putin for his "softly but softly" approach, but no, the vast majority of the Russian public is not enraged with U.S. and NATO support of Ukraine. They know that Russia is in the wrong with this invasion. Russian mil-bloggers are enraged at this, but everything short of taking over the world seems to enrage them.

It seems that Russia's mounting losses in this war are causing what's left of your brain to go "softly but softly" into fatigue and senility.

Russia's most effective weapon in this war is the massive but inaccurate glide bomb, which they like to use on cities.

Russia has had multiple indiscriminate missile attacks on large cities like Kiev, destroying apartment buildings, hospitals, kindergartens, etc.

They opened torture centers when they first invaded Ukraine.

Most of the damage to Russian civilians appears to have occurred when Russia shot down drones and the drones damaged people and property as they fell.

A lot of violations of the Geneva Conventions from the Russians in this conflict. That's why Putin is wanted in the Hague for war crimes, and not Zelenskyy.

Carsten Nickel, from corporate consulting, strategy and advisory firm Teneo, said in a note that voters had "vented their anger" at the coalition's infighting within the context of conflicts over migration "and major challenges associated with the Russian invasion of Ukraine," CNBC reported.
