them glide bombs can only glide so far. need to be able to take out any bombers that get within gliding range. honestly thought that would be the first operations conducted but not sure what a2a missiles they have or their range
Looks like Ukraine may have hired themselves some mercs..Russia having a fit Russia Summons Top US Diplomat Over American Soldiers in Kursk (msn.com) The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Stephanie Holmes, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, to its offices on Tuesday. According to a release on its website, the ministry expressed its "strong protest" to Holmes "in connection with provocative actions of American reporters who illegally infiltrated Kursk Oblast for propagandist reporting of crimes of Kyiv's regime." The ministry also claimed to have seen evidence "of the participation of an American [private military company] on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the invasion of the territory of the Russian Federation." PMCs are non-state-affiliated organizations that provide combat or security services in exchange for payment. They have played a significant role on both sides of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
A little more information on that ongoing battle. Ukrainian Paratroopers May Have Surrounded Russian Soldiers In Kursk
Without getting into specifics, the F-16 is capable of employing long-range anti-air munitions that far exceed the known range of what Ukraine’s old Soviet aircraft can carry. In tandem with airborne radar (which Ukraine now has), that number goes up quite a bit.
which begs the question as to why, or if, Russia is still deploying glide bombs or is able to bring air assets into the battlefield at all
Don’t know if they are or not. Also don’t know how Ukraine is employing the F16s right now. They may still be integrating them into their Air Force, and none may have seen combat yet. We will find out soon enough.
it would seem that they would have benefitted from having them operational before launching the Kursk offensive. it is an insult to Ukraine that they didn't have them operational already as Biden and his boy held back for no good reason
Putin's response to Kursk attack could test backers' patience: Russia-Ukraine | AP News My favorite part, in reference to Putin's purge of his armed forces currently in progress:
I know what you mean, but in this case whatever happens to these officers will be under the color of law (show trial, imprisonment, etc) rather than the more expedient approach of extrajudicial “accidents.”
Lee Harvey, your ignorance knows no bounds, but thanks for the worthless propaganda. Any use of a nuclear weapon on Ukraine would terrify and anger Europe, and cause them to increase their support for Ukraine. Germany would find a way to overcome their stumbling economy to contribute more, and the British would also increase their contributions. The Swedish, Finns and Poles would do whatever it took to help Ukraine win.
You can't be serious. Russia would become the newest NATO member within a week if they tried that shit.
