The neocons know the war is over. The March 2022 Istanbul ceasefire agreement they rejected is what they will beg Putin to agree to. Sorry meocons, that happening. If Ukraine doesn't give up Russia might take Odessa, Kharkov and Kiev.

The Biden administration wants the war to continue past the elections on November 5. 200,000 more dead soldiers means little to them.

Appreciate the post, and agree on many points but for me, the battle in Ukraine is one of the most defining issues facing the U.S.A.
I don't trust Trump, the GOP and the MAGA fringe. MAGA almost defeated Ukraine with a small block in Congress while the Democrats
control the Executive and the Senate.

The Executive, the House and the Senate will all have very close races to determine majorities. All I know is Biden and the Senate (held by Democrats)
have funded Ukraines efforts. Haphazardly, yes, admittedly so, but they have supported neverthless.

All we hear on the other side is the exact OPPOSITE. I don't buy your arguments and for me, the war in Ukraine is my "KEY" voting and legislative point, in determining whom I cast ballots for in November, and it won't be Republicans.

It is encouraging to see some Russians supporting the correct side. Now if they would only drop a few on the Kremlin, that would be even better!

An even better move is the one we should taken two years ago, when it was clear this was going to be a long, materialschlacht affair: the President needs to use his authority under the DPA to make the whole number of weapons necessary not only to support Ukraine but also to replenish our stocks.

I agree. And we certainly cannot blame the minority MAGA block in the House for that one. The authority rests with one man. And that man gets his national security advice from a no-talent ass clown:

Putin warning South Korea to not supply weapons to Ukraine. Putin is in a multi-year stalemate with a tiny neighboring country that has 1/10th the GDP (a guess) but thinks he can to anything about a technologically superior country with a GDP roughly the same size as Russia?

Interesting. I had to google it (for 2017 anyways):

According to the World Bank, Russia’s GDP, PPP for 2017 measured in constant 2011 international dollars was $3.637 trillion, making it the world’s 6th largest economy; South Korea’s GDP, PPP for 2017 was 14th in the world at $1.85 trillion, or just 51 percent of Russia’s.

    Edit for 2022:

Certainly! Let’s compare the economies of South Korea and Russia in 2023:

Stats like these never factor in Russia’s largest in world “gray economy.” Bottom line: Russia is humming.

Don’t leave out North Korea. That must add at least 50 dollars to Russian gdp.
