Russian advance has slowed since us aid started flowing again. It’s being measured in meters when it happens at all, not kilometers. At the rate they are losing troops per meter of ground gained they’ll absolutely need some kind of mobilization to keep going in the long term. I guess the question is can the smaller Ukraine keep up - like are there enough bodies available to keep this up.
Yes, please tell me when the Russian people are going to oust Putin. Trump has already criticized the American weapons being green lighted for use inside of Russia. President Trump will offer a fair resolution to both parties. Ukraine will not be forced to give up Kyiv. Only the Russian speaking regions. No NATO for Ukraine. When's that coup happening? LOLOLOLOLOL
More spontaneous combustion in Russia. This time it is a major gas pipeline. I wonder if all the Adidas tracksuits generate too much static electricity? Just a thought...
I don’t disagree. But now tell me which one of those adjectives does not also describe Trump. Reminds of this line by Jodie Comer in The Last Duel.
Trump is going to "fix" it.. for the Russians lol. - Trump threatens to cut US aid to Ukraine quickly if reelected – POLITICO In other news - the world is getting tired of war - only 90 countries at the summit in switzerland - 80 countries at Swiss conference agree Ukraine's territorial integrity must be basis of any peace - only 80 signed the document that included some pretty basic shit. This short podcast from AlJazeera paints a pretty dire picture as it relates to things on the front line for Ukraine, especially as it relates to recruitment. The Take: Ukraine desperately needs new soldiers I want to add that there are some really good interactive maps here at ISW: Interactive Time-lapse: Russia's War in Ukraine If you scroll down you can compare time lapse data to give you an idea of how little the lines have changed, even with a lot of small Russian advances in the past few months. Consider how many tens of thousands have died, on both sides, for such a small exchange of territory. it's real WW1 type stuff. Crazy.
Well, I can’t do that. I’m a helicopter pilot, not a psychic, man. I can only tell you that there are indicators — many open-source; many you aren’t privy to yet — that strongly suggest Putin himself is increasingly worried about that possibility. And it’s not the people who concern him as much as his inner circle who protect him from the people. But it looks like you’re getting a little worried yourself as evidenced by your progressively shrill and emotional posts. As I said, I am continuously prepared to reevaluate my assessment of the trajectory of the war based on a decline in Ukrainian elan and/or meaningful Russian victories in the field. If your boys actually capture Kharkiv, then it’s time for a hard look. If they just keep threatening to do stuff, then no. I’m past two hands and two feet on Russian threats that they were unable and/or unwilling to carry out.
I don’t. It’s necessary and proper that they suffer. The suffering will alleviate quite a bit when they have had enough and turn their guns on the architects of this war of aggression.
It’s true that Ukrainians hate Russians more than Russians hate Ukrainians. This is so much the case that Ukrainians would probably happily sacrifice ten of their own for the glory of killing one Russian. And that’s probably roughly the kill ratio.
This is roughly a trillion dollars. Left out: it would take millions of troops. Problem: Western families aren’t having five kids anymore …
Well I did qualify my answer with almost. lol. Honestly though I typically blame the decision maker more than the lambs being slaughtered.
"Zelenskyy's allies are to blame"... yeah, imagine that. Military industrial complex gonna military industrial complex.
Goodness, you’re down to that? Recycled left-wing tropes about a mythical military-industrial complex that fail to understand the context and meaning of the man (Eisenhower) who coined the term. You must really be getting worried about Russia’s ability to win this thing in the field. Maybe throw in a few references to the Elders of Zion and how world Jewry is secretly behind this war next?
I just went to see what I could see outside of this thread on how is Russia's most recent offensive in the Ukraine going. This is 35 minutes old and doesn't look like it debunks but rather supports the line of thought that most recently the Ukranians are doing heavy damage to the Russia invaders. Maybe the Guardian isn't a reliable source. But here is what they have written: Russian soldier says army suffering heavy losses in Kharkiv offensive
this is pretty much the consensus from just about everyone. the biggest issue for Ukraine is that recruitment rate. Russia is recruiting new meat faster than they lose it. I’m not sure if Ukraine can say the same.
