Apparently, Russia's missile defense systems are so crappy that they can be taken out by ancient American ATACM missiles.

Ukraine's big strike on Crimea shows how its older missiles can take out Russia's most advanced air defenses (yahoo.com)

This encapsulates a key facet of Russians invasion into Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for their lives and Russia is only there at Putin’s whim.

“The Russians emerged from the trees, and for a few chaotic seconds, the two vehicles barreled toward each other while firing their heavy guns — as if they were jousting. A soldier fell from the speeding Russian vehicle. Viktor’s took a catastrophic hit to its targeting system, disabling the main weapon.
“Ram him,” Viktor recalled instructing his driver.
The May 31 exchange, captured on drone video that subsequently went viral online, underscores how Kyiv has used U.S.-provided Bradleys in unique and extreme ways to work around its depleted artillery stocks and manpower shortages, soldiers and analysts said.”

Wish I could watch the video without signing up.

I just saw another WaPo article title from 2 days saying the US is now allowing the Azov Battalion to use US weapons. I didn’t realize they had been prohibited.

Russia’s AD is generally acknowledged as the best in the world. BUT any system, no matter how advanced, can circumvented by salvos of even older missiles. See: Iran’s recent strike on Israel in which Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome was unable to prevent Iran’s older ballistic missiles from striking specific targets which everyone knew Iran was aiming for.

This is the same ISW that ventured that the conscripts that Ukraine is press ganging off the streets would be better trained and battle hardened than the Russian troops who have been fighting on the frontlines for weeks and months.

Nearly two years now of "how can Russia possibly continue?" Surely, you have some territorial gains to show for all that dysfunction on the Russian side. Especially since you claim it to be your land. What's that? No territorial gains in almost two years? Ahh, sounds like you've been duped by Ukrainian Pravda.

Crazy Medvedev, speaking what Putin will not allow himself to be seen saying, urges Russians to mobilize and attack western countries for supporting Ukraine. In addition to advocating terrorism and mayhem, this could easily backfire on Russia. If a terror attack is significant enough, Americans could easily react and demand that the U.S. respond militarily. It could be a mini-Pearl Harbor event, or another 9-11. The ones that would react the most strongly, IMO, would be the ignorant republicans that have been clutching their purses and pearls in fear of U.S. bankruptcy. (That's what happened after Pearl Harbor, anyway.) Until it actually happens, however, republicans will continue to whine about balancing the budget while spouting Russian propaganda.

Medvedev also asked for more fake news, since it was so successful in pulling the wool over dimwitted republican eyes.

Russians are already suspected of arson and other crimes internationally.

Russians told to mobilise to inflict 'maximum harm' on West in response to sanctions (yahoo.com)

Dude you sound unhinged with your posting lol. Since when have I personally claimed that Ukrainian land is MY land? Please consider seeking mental health counseling.

We asked these questions before and then Russia conducted mobilizations and went on a full war footing. So that was the answer. They have adapted to the changing situation on the ground to a certain extent.
So if you re-read what I said, I said how much longer can they continue they way they are without ADDITIONAL mobilization.

Because recently, it appears that Russia has been avoiding another mobilization effort - but if things continue as they are, it will be impossible not to do it again.

So I'm just wondering when and if they will do it again, despite the lack of popular support for such efforts.

A little hard to fight when republican cowards make sure that you run out of ammunition. Surely, you have some editorial brains to see that?

How does that silly diatribe jive with Ukraine having a shortage of missiles? How is Ukraine able to mass enough missiles to come up with a "salvo"? Or does a salvo consist of two missiles?

"Multiple employees say that they were paid in cash, either out of the register or from Boebert’s husband’s wallet, without any taxes deducted. While many workers were struggling to make ends meet, they say Boebert spent exorbitant sums on breast implants, private schooling for her sons, and a new Cadillac Escalade. They describe her as alternately absent, showing up only when news crews were at the restaurant, or demanding. “If she would come into the restaurant,” one former employee tells me, “everyone just knew we were just gonna have a bad day, because she would just walk around and nitpick.”

    Boebert was born in Orlando.

Apparently, while the Chinese government iand Chinese corporations are not willing to abide by sanctions, Chinese banks are very afraid of becoming the target of sanctions.

A retired British colonel says he believes the tide of the war has turned in favor of Ukraine, now that the U.S. has allowed Ukraine to attack targets deep in Russia with its ancient western "wonder-weapons".

Ukraine is finally getting to hit Russia hard with its 'wonder-weapons,' and that's turning the tide of the war: military expert (yahoo.com)
