Don't drink the tea...from CNN live "Former Russian foreign minister calls on country's diplomats to resign in protest over Ukraine war From CNN’s Vasco Cotovio in Moscow Former Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev has called on Russian diplomats to resign in protest over the war in Ukraine. “I call on all Russian diplomats to resign in protest,” he tweeted on Tuesday. “Dear Russian diplomats, you are professionals and not cheap propagandists.” “When I worked at the Foreign Ministry, I was proud of my colleagues,” Kozyrev added. “Now it is simply impossible to support the bloody fratricidal war in Ukraine.” Kozyrev was foreign minister from 1991 to1996 under President Boris Yeltsin."
I don’t quite look at it as pathetic, as it appears to be a part of human nature, but the way we view new information does indeed appear to be influenced by our previously established identity. It is likely more true for some individuals than others, but it certainly applies to both sides.
A map of NATO countries. Some think Putin may go after Moldova (not NATO - in gray, northeast of Romania)next.
More on the graves/memorial, from CNN live "Airstrikes on Kyiv hit a Holocaust memorial, Ukrainian official says From CNN’s Matthew Chance, Hadas Gold and Deb Doft Airstrikes that targeted Kyiv on Tuesday hit the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Site in Kyiv, according to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak. The memorial is located near the Kyiv TV Tower, which was also damaged on Tuesday. CNN’s Matthew Chance was interviewing Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky when Yermak advised Zelensky that the Holocaust memorial was struck. The exchange between Yermak and Zelensky was captured by a CNN camera. The Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Site has since released a statement confirming the remembrance site was struck by Russian forces. According to a statement, the memorial's Advisory Board Chair Natan Sharansky said: “Putin seeks to distort and manipulate the Holocaust to justify an illegal invasion of a sovereign democratic country is utterly abhorrent. It is symbolic that he starts attacking Kyiv by bombing the site of the Babyn Yar, the biggest of Nazi massacre." The statement continues, “We remind the Russian leadership that Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mariupol and other Ukrainian cities were last subjected to massive bombing by Nazi Germany during World War II, now they are burning under the blows of Putin's army, under the false and outrageous narrative of 'denazifying' Ukraine and its people.”"
Democratic Socialists blame US imperialism for Russian invasion of Ukraine ^^^this makes more sense to me. The Left, blaming us, that is.
What are people doing when they say our "weakness" or failures of leadership/policy are to blame for Russian aggression?
If Russian imperialism is bad, it would stand to reason that American imperialism is also bad. Unless you are just cheering on your own empire and have no principles.
AOC and Sanders should be asked directly if they agree since they belong to that party. Get their response on record.
