Depends on the adversary. They're invaluable against insurgency types, less useful against peer competitors that you can't achieve air supremacy against.

US/NATO Armored Brigades deploying. I will happily be wrong, but this sure feels like this is all heading in a very bad direction for Europe and possibly the world.

We used nukes once killing about a quarter of a million people mostly civilian and those nukes were small. Current weapons would wipe whole continents out

Well, much of this is fallout from a near 20 year war (which only formally ended in 2018) which started when Eritrea invaded Ethiopia.

I think it would be inexcusable not to prepare for a worst case scenario. Doesn't mean it will happen.

NATO has deployed additional troops to the eastern most members as a precaution. They then also need to backfill the Western European positions.
And of course they are going to be in a state of readiness, who the heck knows how far Putin will take it.
But wouldn’t read much more into it than that.

The A10 had been updated to be more modern more useful in many arenas. It is devastating against ground forces. It’s not meant for air to air battles. It is a tank killer and a low attack bomber.

Many years ago I read this: it touched a little bit on the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia, but that is certainly a conflict I know almost nothing about.

I'd be more worried if we moved a carrier group in but I agree better to be prepared then to wait

True. Except there is no one (on this planet) we can’t achieve air supremacy against.

The Navy sortied four East Coast guided-missile destroyers as the U.S. and NATO have massed naval forces in the region, USNI News has learned. Those 4 destroyers are set to join 4 other destroyers, a guided missile frigate, a Norwegian warship and the USS Truman at the entrance to the Black Sea.

Anyone care to guess what infrastructure the Ruskies try to hack first.

    Internet
    Phones
    Electricity
    Water
    Banks
    Oil

I don’t see how they won’t give it a try with all the sanctions we are imposing.

What other countries will be hacked?

Some external pushback on misinformation within Russia by one of their own. This is fascinating.
