That would be the opinion of some random guy who thought it would be ultra cool to select a Soviet empanada as a username. Great source, great find. You can find all sorts of idiots willing to say nice things about Russia and Putin...just read this thread.
The chance that the U.S. was not heavily involved in the coup are roughly comparable to the the chances that the Gators will win the national championship this year with Mertz winning the Heisman and then Gator basketball winning the natty … Evidence of US-Backed Coup in Kiev
Back to Ukraine. Ukraine's pilots are flying "wild weasel" missions against Russia to destroy their SAM systems. They fly their planes close enough for Russian SAM systems to lock on to them with radar and fire HARM missiles before the Russians can fire their SAM missiles. Once Ukraine starts using F-16's, they will be able to use all of the features and capabilities of the HARM missiles. Ukraine's pilots are flying high-risk 'wild weasel' missions first developed in the Vietnam War by the USAF, says defense analyst
How pathetic. Of the three countries, one is getting its military destroyed in a stalemate of a war with a neighbor using 40-year-old technology as its economy struggles under 7.5% inflation and global sanctions, one has offended its biggest and wealthiest customer countries as their economy undergoes a severe crisis while threatening a neighbor, and the third is not at war and has the world's largest economy and most powerful military. Only a mentally defective person would conclude that the U.S. is being dominated in any way by either of the two other countries. By the end of this decade, both the bear and the dragon will regret ever having designs on their neighbors, and they will both regret pissing off the U.S.
A nice little story about the poor quality of Russian weapons when confronted by U.S. weapons from over 40 years ago. Israel took on Syria in 1982 in the Lebanon War. Final score: Israel wins 60-0 for fighter jets, and destroys 29/30 SAM systems. Russia was so humiliated by the failure that they sent military experts over to try to figure out how their equipment was defeated so easily and so completely. How the Israeli Air Force once destroyed over 60 enemy jets and dozens of Soviet missile systems in battle without losing a single fighter
The Russian territory of Belgorod is somewhat abandoned these days, not entirely from Ukraine's shelling there, but also from Russian pilots being too afraid to go into Ukrainian airspace and dropping their bombs short of Ukraine (and into Belgorod). The fear of the Patriot systems in Ukraine is causing Russian pilots to not only fail to attack Ukraine, but it is causing them to drop bombs on their own people. It really is hard to over-estimate the incompetence of the Russian military. Over 21 bombs have been dropped on Belgorod by Russian pilots in the last two months. Russia claims that the reasons for the incidents include: poor training, poor procedures, and poor execution (IOW, incompetence). Over 9,000 children were evacuated from Belgorod this year to save them from Russian bombs. Russia keeps accidentally dropping bombs on its own people as it struggles to hit intended targets, UK intel says
MUST WATCH: Ukraine hacked Russian TV in Crimea and put this video on every channel. It is an extremely powerful reminder of what absolute animals Putin and the Russian invaders are.
When are sanctions supposed to kick in ? I thought Russia was suppose to crumble in three says. Instead, Russians have never had it so good Why is Russia's economy booming despite sanctions?
Will you be going with Putin when he visits The Hague? I'm sure he'd appreciate someone to hang out with.
How do you find that many whackjobs to quote? Do they equip you with computers with special browsers or are they part of your daily briefings?
As bad as Russia’s military deployment may have been in 2022, much worse has been the economic warfare effort by the West. A massive strategic fail and a blunder. The fear, of course, is the sleeping giant has been awakened and this war helps them make adjustments for the broader war. That’s what we want, right??
I’m still mystified by the supposition that Russia was doing badly in 2022. You don’t aim to take over a country the size of Texas with 75k troops.
Fact is Russia drove pretty deep into northern Ukraine very quickly and Ukraine had known it was coming for over a year. If they wanted Kyiv, they could have dug in a perimeter around the city quite easily with Belarus providing cover to the north. They accomplish the same goal with a fraction of the cost setting up in the south and east as they have done. Without the Black Sea, Ukraine is worthless to NATO.
I think the Siege of Mosul is instructive in dealing with the Ukraine in three days trope … 108,000 coalition troops (and daily U.S. bombardment) took NINE MONTHS and four days to pacify 5,000 to 10,000 insurgents at a cost of 40,000 dead civilians. If Russia’s thunder run to Kyiv was intending to force Kyiv to the negotiating table, then Russia’s strategy was a resounding success to that point. Of course negotiations were scuttled and Russia had to engage in the arduous task of preparing for a larger war.
The only fact is Russia invaded a smaller and weaker country destroying property, killing innocent people, raping, stealing, and illegally occupying. If you’re ok with that then we have zero to discuss. Russia is a bully. The only way you handle a bully is to punch them in the mouth. The US and other countries that care are helping Ukraine punch them in the mouth.
