Well some of us have been against Russia since before it was cool. Some of us have also learned some valuable lessons over the time period you mentioned above. Some of us have learned from previous conflicts you mentioned above. Those lessons learned have given some of us a reason to pause before plowing headfirst into yet another conflict/ arms boondoggle that may do very little to advance American interests and in turn end up getting a lot of people killed and money wasted. But hey. Maybe you’re right. Maybe I’m just an uninformed uneducated moron incapable to assessing what’s going on all by my lonesome and coming to different conclusions than you.
Russia is not the Soviet Union, and not even communist anymore. China--THE CCCP--IS ACTUALLY STILL COMMUNIST. AND COMMUNIST TO ITS CORE. We were fighting COMMUNISM in the cold war in those battle fronts you mentioned (NK, VN, etc...) due to communism, not Russians, due to their Russian-ness (as we fought the Germans for their fascism/Nazism, not due to their German-ness, and Iraq and Afghanistan for their safe harboring of terrorists and promotion of terrorism, not due to their Iraq-ness, or Afghani-ness...). Russia may not be our ally or friend--they may even be our enemy--but they are not the same entity as the Soviet Union, and they do not pose a tenth of the threat that China poses (other than the nuclear threat). ...but TBL, it was never the GOP's geopolitical ignorance that drove resistance to Ukraine funding--it was prioritization--of Ukraine OVER our southern border, through which >10 million human beings have entered unvetted, from sundry places, including China (apparent ops), and several banned nations that remain subject to travel and immigration restrictions like Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen...due to terrorist threats; and MS 13 (and other) gang bangers, drug cartels operatives, sex trafficers, drug dealers and their drugs (especially fent'y and precursors--for which the Chicoms have literally subsidized....) drug mules, etc, et. al., ... Just marching their asses right the @#$#& in, and having their way with our ppl... But we trip over ourselves to pad Ukrainian's aristocracy with its luxurious lifestyles, and no accountability for our support...and ok, we're sending them some war toys to stave off the big bad Russians [NB: EAST OF THE NATO BORDER!]. I'm far more disappointed with the SOSDD capitulation, than the original resistance.
LOL at proponents of the leading hegemon, which as just approved warrantless spying on citizens, caricaturing another country as Soviet Union.
Some of y'all have been against Russia since before the end of WW II??? Y'all must be like >100 years old then...
Interesting choice in reading and understanding logic and strategy behind the leader. Keep in mind we had similar approach to Khadafi. Let him live large, until a political party found it beneficial to no longer allow that type of control/ restraint
Well sir, some of us also familiarized ourselves with libraries and books and worked though ideas on our own before the interwebs came along and presented us with conclusions we should be making.
when whatever political party finds it politically expedient to change strategy they suddenly find think tanks that agree and media outlets to publish it and help others come to same conclusions. Nothing is static
Using your logic all US defense spending would have to be categorized as money laundering considering that virtually of the weapons provided to Ukraine are manufactured in the US by US defense contractors which employ US citizens.
It seems that limiting your potential responses is counterproductive. Russia doesn’t like our providing more aid to Ukraine. We can tell because the silly escalation noise is coming from the Russians again.
Says the guy who thought it was ever not cool to be 'against Russia.' Riiiiigghhttt.... Nothing screams original thinking, like staking out on a long thin limb there, right here in the good ol US of A, slink out of the closet, and boldly confess--nay, PROFESS!-- "I. Am. AGAINST. RUSSIA!!!" Must takes a f'rill man wit a full sack, to make THAT declaration. (Let alone in this thread...). LMAO!!!
That's not what I said. I would think much of it is, though. But nothing beats a war when it comes to throwing money away, and the bureaucrats are really good at siphoning plenty of it off into their pockets. Wars and natural disasters are the 2 things that Americans don't seem to care where the money goes.
For the first time since the conflict began began Russia has picked an end date for the war. "By the end of summer," which ends September ,22. I set the over/under at September a few days ago Ending the war before November is probably beneficial to Trump.
Certainly, limiting options publicly is. We assured Russia that we would not intervene no matter what right after they made their first nuclear threat. If you’re a Russian leader, how do you interpret that?
Ukraine struck two oil refineries last night, against the public sentiments of the Biden admin. Ukraine Hits Multiple Russian Refineries Overnight Despite US Warnings (msn.com)
well I’ve read your post 3 times and still don’t understand what you are claiming. Guess I’m not as smart, wise or worldly as you. So you got me.
