We'll have to wait for the next Gorbachev to come into power before we hear the truth about all this.

“Always”? No, not always. The bill on border security and Ukraine was literally in the same bill.

MAGA Republicans might as well be on Putins payroll

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who opposes any aid to Ukraine, posted on X, “It’s antisemitic to make Israeli aid contingent on funding Ukrainian Nazis.”

The border bill was written by a handful of pub ho's and gives Doh! Biden--who's already shat all over the pubs repeatedly--vast discretion. It's not a good deal. And the dems have pulled the football away at last min far too many times over last several decades a la Lucy/Chuck Brown.

There's also still, waaayyy to little scrutiny and accountability in the Ukraine assist pkg.

    Hard pass.

Doh! Biden gets to choke on his *deplorable*ist douchebaggery of his entire presidency, let alone his entire career.

Worth cutting n pasting rather than redrafting to conform all over again...

As are *so many of us*, in our chicom puppet comrades.

Y'all shit your britches about an antiquated impotent rust bucket Rusky boogeyman making hay on the other side of the planet, East of the NATO wall...

....we bemoan (to deaf ears) serious concers about chicoms by the thousand, potential middle eastern terrorists from travel banned ( for a reason) countries flooding in unvetted by the 10's of thousands, and drug traffickers, sex traffickers, fentanyl dealers with plenty o' fenty (enough to log 100k kills a year), M13 and other gangbangers by the hundreds of thousand, and God only knows who else by the million (to the tune of >10 mil under Biden)....

Penetrating our own borders like a n'awlins ho' house in Mardi gras...

And we continue to talk right past each other.

We'll see where we are soon enough--come November.

Funny how *Republican* democrats ALWAYS become, leading up to elections.

Golly gee....oliver sudden there IS a border crisis!?!?!? :eek:o_O:eek:

(Of course, the only actual crisis the dems recognize, is their own political fate. [Insert GnR singing November Rain...]).

That's not what's being shown there at all. What it's showing is that the emphasis on actual combat effectiveness is completely secondary. The money going to Ukraine is almost entirely political palm greasing.

It would be folly to confuse the US (even the pretenders wearing blue n yeller lapel pins) not giving a shit about what transpires in the Ukraine, with combat ineptness if we were vested in the outcome (we're simply not).

Which is to say, as much of a freak as I may stand out as on this board.... I'm a dead give away of what the actual politicians in DC actually care about, in terms of Ukr.

They're in it for show and for political gamesmanship, and not a damn thing more.

i.e. /IOW---They're about as actually scared of Russia as I am of global warming.

The shining star of the Republican Party, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has introduced a proposed amendment to the Ukraine aid bill.:

"The amendment titled "Amendment to Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024," reads: "Any Member of Congress who votes in favor of this Act shall be required to conscript in the Ukrainian military."

OK, that's two areas in which you acknowledge you are knowledge base challenged....international affairs and climate.

You're so angry- at least 6 posts in a row of spewing angry vitriol and name calling.

Why didn't that great patriot Trump fix any of this when he had 4 years in office, half with a GOP Congress?

Why didn't he change things, or get anything done and make you a happy man?

    #SAD!

There is a simple reason the US has never (officially) entered Ukraine. It would get waxed.

Not at all. It would give Russia the green light to *attempt* to launch its rotting nukes, which I honestly believe we could hit at their launch sites before most ever getting airborne.

Alas, it's the ones that do, that give us pause. That, and the fact that neither Russia nor Ukraine is worth fighting over.

We already have Alaska. That's all the Russia we need. More so by half frankly. Hell, we have to pay ppl to live there.

Ukraine has been nothing more than baiting Russia into disclosing what kind of bite it has behind all of Putinova's bark.

    It's sadly laughable.

The worst part of the joke however, has been played out in this thread. The part where Americans clutch their pearls, and pretend to be escared of da big bad bear.

It's a circus. The bear is just doing tricks at our bidding.

(Meanwhile, the real baddies are actually ravishing our women folk and children at home, as our elitist neo-royalty are entertained... "Nero dithers as Rome burns...."--history on scratch...).

Notwithstanding its bluster, why would Russia need to use nukes ? It has already nearly dispatched America’s great proxy using mostly its old weaponry, it’s “loss leaders.”

2+ years on and otherwise intelligent people STILL have not awakened to the reality of Russia’s maddening patience and its penchant for attrition.

Missing from that great insight--the part where murica (unlike Hitler and Napoleon before)--gives enough of a shit about Russia to bother to go into Russia--which I addressed in my prior post--ie Alaska.

    It's simply redundant.
