It it a lie to state as fact : "#3 red line was crossed and eventually #1 and #2 would have been crossed and Russia would have had a hostile country on its border with nukes that could hit Moscow in 3 minutes." Pure idiotic (IMO) speculation from Vatnik. Idiot that Putin is, where is IN ACTUAL FACT NATO now. LOL
Hundreds of miles of border now. LOL . All Russian-heritage casualties in Ukraine were terrorists anyway and were fomenting insurrection. LOL

That's the point, Okeydokey. We don't know what business investments that Trump has in Russia. We do know that Trump's businesses get most of their financing through Russian banks, thanks to a verbal slip-up by son Eric. We also know that Trump had big plans for building in Russia. We don't know what kind of leverage being Trump's banker gives Putin over Trump. We don't know what shell corporations Trump might have set up to hide his business transactions in Russia. You would have to be pretty gullible to believe that Putin has no leverage over Trump.

Trump republicans are tripping all over themselves trying to find shady business dealings by Biden, and all you have so far is some minor-level influence peddling by his son. Meanwhile, Trump is very supportive of the military actions of a dangerous country with a habit of invading other countries, and he gets most of his financing through that country's banks. Because that country is a dictatorship, the oligarchs in charge of the bank are answerable directly to the dictator. You don't have to look very far to connect the dots on that one.

As I said in my post. I didn't think they were about to kick Russia out. I believe that Putin was very close to being retired in classic Russian fashion.

MTG has been quoting Kremlin propaganda so much that she has a new nickname: Moscow Marjorie. (I like Moscow Marge myself.)

Marjorie Taylor Greene Receives A Withering New Nickname From Ken Buck

History books will not be kind to this lady, even knowing that she is mentally disabled.

I’d like to believe that, but I don’t. Putin has proven far more resilient to any agency by his key stakeholders than we believed. This Administration falsely believed that the economic measures would be more effective by targeting the comfort and lifestyle of the oligarchs supporting Putin. He has kept them in line by hook or by crook to a far greater extent than Sullivan et al imagined possible. I’m not saying we shouldn’t also be doing the economic measures. I’m all for it. But military measures are the only way to decisively swing this thing. That includes material assistance but should not stop there.

Ukraine receives a gift from the Biden administration: thousands of weapons and ammunition seized from Iran. Four vessel shipments worth.

US transfers thousands of seized Iranian guns, rocket launchers and munitions to Ukraine

Interesting: Zelenskyy says one of the reasons that the counter-offensive failed was that Russia knew when and where Ukraine would attack. Ukraine will be allowing fewer people to know operational details of major attacks in the future. Zelenskyy did not reveal who might be behind the leak. I think the sheer number of mines made it overly difficult regardless of when and where Ukraine was going to attack.

Russia 'knew where we were going to attack,' Zelenskyy says in reflection on why Ukraine's big counteroffensive stumbled

Donald Trump reveals his stupidity and his peace plan for Ukraine at the same time. Who knew that ill-informed peace plans could be so difficult to get right? Maybe Trump could trade Greenland for Donbas and get Russia to leave Ukraine in exchange for Greenland. What a clown Trump is!

So, you lied to us. Trump doesn’t own any businesses in Russia. What about the family? Does Trump have any family who’ve held high profile seats in Russian companies?

Both Biden and Trumph are tied up in this war. Both on opposite sides.
However, my thinking is because putin attacked ukraine and is devastating it, we should be helping Ukraine with military weapons so that they can repeal the russian invaders.

    Of course we should.

It's no surprise the US political party of, "If you are being raped, lie there and enjoy it" would disagree.

So, continue to do more of what hasn’t been working, while no doubt perpetuating even more death and destruction. Sounds like a solid plan. Our debt woes aside, right?

Russia will take what it wants. The US and Ukraine are responsible for this war. Who would agree with that minority opinion? The smartest thinkers:
Henry Kissinger RIP, Stephen F. Cohen (Princeton, NYU) RIP, JOohn Mearsheimer (Univ of Chicago), former CIA analysts Ray McGovern and Larry Johnson, strategic thinkers Kacques Baud (Switzerland), Glenn Diesen (Norway) and Greg Copley, Russiani military expert Andrei Martysnov (US), Eurasian/Middle East Rockstar journalist/analyst Pepe Escobar, the amazing Moon of Alabama blog and the #1 foreign policy podcast in the West: The Duran.

Russia didn't enter Ukraine until they started slaughtering civilians with artillery fire.

Russia was concerned about US sponsored biolabs.

Russia was also concerned that Ukraine was developing nuclear weapons. Remember, Russia lost 25 or 30 million people in WW2. Ukraine has a significant neofascist element. Ukraine was becoming an existential threat. It's being neutralized
