France promises to deliver hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine by the beginning of next year. Hope it isn't too late. More AA missiles should be forthcoming as well.

France will deliver hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine, defense minister says

Russia sinking barges to narrow the channel to help block drone boats

Russia resorts to desperate measures, deploys old barges to shield Novorossiysk port from Ukrainian attacks (msn.com)

Intelligence notes that recent satellite images shows that entrance to port of Novorossiysk has been partially blocked by 4 barges. They say that this is an attempt to strengthen the port's defense against attacks by Ukrainian surface drones.

After a series of successful Ukrainian attacks on the port of Sevastopol, Novorossiysk has become main base protecting the most valuable assets of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

British intelligence recalled that former commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, was replaced after Ukraine's success in using surface drones against Russian targets both at sea and in the port.

His successor, Vice Admiral Sergei Pinchuk, may have tried to increase the chances of survival of Russian ships by taking additional preventive and defensive measures, including narrowing the passage to port facilities.

Sink the barges and narrow it to where no ships can navigate.

What if we needed Ukraine to stop selling weapons technology (like drones) to China? Or stop trading with China? Do you think they will be disposed to do so if we cut off aid to them and give away half of their country? There are a lot of possibilities for future interaction that apparently you haven't considered. I think I understand your problem. You are incredibly short-sighted. You can't see past the end of your nose. The future is a fog for you, so you take the most simplistic approach you can think of (if we fight China, will Ukraine fight alongside us? No), and it all makes sense to you. Until it doesn't.

What I'm talking about is unforeseen consequences, except in this case, they are easily foreseen. You don't have to be a historian or geopolitical genius to see this sequence of events coming.

Are you celebrating this possibility as a Russian accomplishment?

I would like to think that you can see there's nothing to celebrate here, but....

Explosion' Sparks Huge Fire at Russian Defense Facility in Siberia (msn.com)

Ahuge fire has broken out at the Uralmash factory, a Russian defense facility in the city of Yekaterinburg, state-run media reported on Monday.

Pro-Ukrainian Eastern European news outlet Nexta quoted an eyewitness as saying that there was an "explosion", and then "black smoke appeared."

Videos and photos circulating on social media showed huge plumes of black smoke rising over the factory—one of Russia's largest manufacturing plants, which serves the country's military-industrial sector.

"A large fire at Uralmashzavod in Russian Yekaterinburg—Russian media," said Anton Gerashchenko, a former adviser to Ukraine's minister of internal affairs, sharing footage of the blaze on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Gotcha. I thought you were boasting that Russia had (apparently successfully) assaulted Am. officials via the Havana syndrome.

Now Russia has figured out a way to launch jet-propelled glide bombs from the ground!

If you’re not feeling up to going into work, call in with Havana Syndrome. If your employer doesn’t accept this as a viable excuse, report them for Russian disinformation.

Me as well. I do, however, open up a browser occasionally where I'm not logged in just to see if I'm missing anything interesting. I never am. There are 3 posters here that I believe genuinely are pulling for Russia in this thing. While I disagree with the "we should be spending our money here" crowd, I at least understand their thinking. What I can't understand or even slightly tolerate are these people who are pulling for our enemy and the enemy of most of the civilized world in this conflict. They are, quite simply, traitors and I hope they have the opportunity to relocate to Russia...permanently.
