Maybe if Russia would stop invading other countries, then the U.S. would stop trying to weaken them. Why is that so hard to understand?
You're working hard to avoid admitting that you had no idea Ukraine had fired artillery into cities in the Donbas for 8 years and killed thousands of ethnic Russians. Putin didn't invade until Ukraine upped the shelling to 2000+ on February 23 and had massed tens of thousands of troops in preparation for an invasion.. Putin wanted peace. That's why he supported the Minsk accords. and refused to admit the DPR and LPR into the Russian Federation.. For 2 years you pos've posted on the Ukraine War but you had no idea Ukraine had been shelling R ethnic Russians for 8 years? How is this possible? Easy, you got your news from the MSM which amplified the establishment narrative
‘Smells of genocide’: How Putin justifies Russia’s war in Ukraine If Russia has proof of genocide taking place, why did it not formally bring its claims before the UN? Russia should have done so and pressed for action at the UN if it had credible concerns,” Hinton said. “It claims that Ukrainians are attacking ethnic Russians and Russian speakers who Russia claims to be obliged to protect,” he said. “That sounds reasonable in the abstract, but, again, Russia has not provided any credible proof to support its claim … It didn’t do so because Russia’s goal isn’t to save lives but to conquer Ukraine. Lavrov’s accusation is just another attempt to mask an invasion,” Hilton added.
People: “There is no evidence of prior genocide against ethnic-Russians in Ukraine.” Same people: “Russia is committing genocide by firing multi-million dollar precision guided missiles into apartment buildings!”
Only an idiot would act like Ukraine was firing artillery into cities in the Donbas for no reason. Pro-Russian forces started the fighting, and Ukraine responded militarily, as any nation would when attacked from within. The first attack was 50 commandos led by a Russian citizen, BTW. It was basically a terrorist organization, seizing government buildings. Hmmm, sounds like something a former intelligence officer leading a neighboring military power might try to support. And in fact, Putin did support this action by the pro-Russian forces, secretly sending in tanks, troops and artillery into Donbas. That would be like Mexico sending in tanks, troops, and artillery into Texas to support pro-Mexican forces fighting to take over the state. Do you think that would happen without a military response by the U.S.? Are you really that ignorant? War in Donbas - Wikipedia
They’re not firing shells into civilian areas for no reason. They’re firing shells into civilian areas to kill civilians for terroristic effect, hard as it might be to wrap your head around the fact that Kyiv regime are bad people.
Precisely. Ukraine was lawfully fighting a Russian-sponsored rebellion, involving Russian regular troops, on Ukrainian territory. They had every right and every responsibility to their people to do so.
Do you have any evidence to that effect? Did you take any video while you were in the country? Or are you relying on Kremlin-supplied opinion pieces yet again? You spout a lot of stupid opinions as if they were fact, and they all seem to be based on looney-tunes "articles" from people and organizations that no one has ever heard of (that turn out to be Russian propaganda). You seem to have a hard time wrapping your head around the fact that all of your sources are bogus, when you even bother to use sources. Basically, you are an embarrassment.
Russia is about to feel some more financial pain from the sanctions as the U.S. persuades banks in Turkey, the UAE, and Austria to stop doing business with Russia. Oil sales just got a little more difficult for Russia. A little strange that Austria had to be persuaded to stop doing business with Russia. The banking loopholes Russia has used to stay afloat are closing
The Czechs are working on securing 800,000 artillery rounds for Ukraine, and have collected commitments worth hundreds of millions of dollars to pay for them. Germany committed to paying for 180,000 rounds. Sweden and Portugal combined for over $140 million in commitments. Czech-led bulk ammunition buy for Ukraine picks up steam
Russia has been collecting an "exit tax" from companies leaving Russia. The good news for Russia is that they've collected $385 million. The bad news for Russia is that these companies are no longer a part of the Russian economy. There probably weren't enough workers available to keep those companies going anyway. This will hurt Russia over the long term. Foreign firms' Russian 'exit tax' payments at $385 million so far in 2024
According to Kyiv Channel 1__1 over one-million Ukrainian fighters are KIA, severely wounded, captured or are missing in action. Ukrainian lines are collapsing and Russia is establishing momentum across the entire front line.
hopefully none of these re being sourced from N. Korea. One has to wonder the source of these shells and how many are coming from corrupt russian sources.
Fair point. During the 1980s, the Soviets discovered that some of their surplus SA-7s were going to be diverted via third-parties (like Egypt) to Afghan insurgents, and they let the deal go through, making sure none of the weapons actually worked in the field.
Ukraine has been shelling civilians since 2014 when the US helped overthrow the democratically elected Yanukpvich, who was elected with the support of Ukraine's ethnic Russians. Ukraine's new government wasn't friendly to ethnic Russians so Donetsk and Luhamsk declared their independence. Ukraine deliberately shelled civilians during the 8 year civil war and they've deliberately killed civilians since Russia came to the aid of ethnic Russians in this conflict. For years Putin tried to keep the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's part of Ukraine, rebuffing their desire to become part of the Russian Federation. Putin supported a ceasefire agreements (Minsk 1 and Minsk 2). . Eventually Angela Merkel admitted the Minsk agreements were a trick to buy time so the Ukrainian army could be armed and trained. People wonder why Russian troops were on Ukraines border every year from 2024+2022. It was to protect Ukraine's ethnic Russians. Ukraine was ready to invade the Donna's in 2021. Russia's quickly held militaryanuevers that quashed Ukraine,:s plans. Ukraine would have entered the Donnas in 2022 but Putin beat them to i after Ukraine passed troops for an invasion and fired over 2000 artillery shells on zFeb 23, 2023. Ukraine continued to shell civilians as the June 2022 article below indicates. Let,'s also remember the Bucks massacre that was carried out by Ukraine, not Russia as the lying MSM reported. As usual dugges_dad is spot on. https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/06/ukraine-killing-surrendering-soldiers-shelling-civilians.html
I stopped reading at "democratically elected." You have no idea what's going on in Ukraine, do you? I mean we can watch Russian state TV if we want people to blow nonsense up our posteriors.

VegasFox: Remember when the Serbian province of Kosovo declared it's independence after it took in huge numbers of Muslims, most immigrating from Albania. Bill Clinton/NATO bombed Belgrade for 78 days so Kosovo could be independent. The US/NATO cited Article 51 of the UN Charter to justify their actions. Russia did used the same justification to enter Ukraine. Serbia and Russia are very close BTW.
