I'm sure I own Tesla stock indirectly, too, through multiple tech focused funds I hold ... and I also want to see that company brought to it's knees. Ideally, the board would be forced to axe Musk and get a new CEO. It would be great all around.

 

Sometimes integrity is more important than money. Something the ignorant masses that worship a career criminal wouldn't understand.

 

Even if someone is a Musk fan, he clearly has too much influence and what exactly is he doing right now for Tesla? Nothing other than holding a title. I feel the same way about Buffett and Soros. These people have way too much influence on people's lives.

 

Let's also not forget that the State's Retirement Fund held the 1.6 million shares of Tesla in June 30, 2024. I suspect that the portfolio of the fund has changed since then.

The Chevy Equinox was the top selling electric vehicle in the US in Q4 of 2024. Tesla was already faltering before DOGE. If anything, this non-sense has given the company cover to not have to admit that they are losing their formerly huge advantage over traditional US car makers. Further, BYD's innovation is rivaling Tesla in Asia.
