I posted a few links regarding this a few weeks ago, while the Corporation may have great net profits each franchise really doesn’t. If I recall correctly after expenses the average was like 150k per store. McDonalds corp has a very one sided model where the franchise really pays a lot to the Corp and that’s where much of their profit comes from.

What non-union labor force is better off in wages than the auto industry? Your conclusions are ridiculous. We have record employment and manufacturing is finally coming back to the US.

I wonder how much of that is franchise fees vs. purchase of food and supplies from the Corp. I mean, if you're gonna run a McDonalds, I'm pretty sure they get to set the price on everything they sell you...

You do realize the Danes don't have a minimum wage, right? The meme is essentially a recycle of an AOC tweet from 2 1/2 years ago.

The Danes get their wages (as does much of Scandinavia) from very powerful trade unions and collective bargaining. They also pay roughly 45% in taxes (compared to the US's 30% average) which pays for the social safety net their government provides (look up the "flexicurity" model). The result of this is a high degree of security and low inequality ... at the cost of "social mobility." That is to say, if your parents are low education it's extremely likely you'll end up in the same class.
