There is certainly no law against being a nut job conspiracy loon, but there are ramifications. Of the companies that stopped doing business with Mike Lindell, we provide material to two of them for store builds and remodels. Thinking about sliding them a 10% discount over their next few orders just for the hell of it.

Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohl's pulls MyPillow from shelves after CEO's meeting with Trump

Lindell has also come under scrutiny after he was photographed leaving a meeting with Trump at the White House Friday. Zoomed-in shots of the images, taken by Washington Post photographer Jabin Botsford, show the partially visible notes appearing to mention Powell, as well as “martial law if necessary” and the “Insurrection Act,” an 1806 law that allows the president to mobilize the military and National Guard troops to quell civil disorder or actions of insurrection.

Disagree partly, it’s not the power of the police, it is the power of propaganda affecting half the US population, this means you have sycophants and sway everywhere, in every organization.
Partisan politics and people like trump ultimately end in war or mass suppression. #History

How unbelievably clueless are some of these guys?

A man sent his girlfriend’s brother a selfie while storming the Capitol, officials say. The brother is a federal agent.

Honestly, this stuff is the best defense against people who say it was a coup. Lots of these yahoos treated it was some sort of livestreaming online event or a bizarro Coachella.

I can't figure out what they were thinking ...
    - That this stuff isn't against the law because it's a govt building and therefore owned by the public?
    - That the revolution would be successful, Trump would stay president and they'd all be treated like George Washington and Patrick Henry?

Thinking? You give the mob too much credit.
Just look at the last year. None of the mind/riots/idiots where “thinking”. Uts become a Instagram moment! “Look at me” I am doing something”.
Not one real thought out plan or expectation... just emotions and anger and stupidity.
Children act this way... but we have seen plenty of adults acting like children this year. It’s tiring.
And people on both sides of the aisle will justify “their” side acting like this. Justify the temper tantrums. It’s like saying little Johnny didn’t mean to hurt Sarah, he was just angry when he hit her!
    Let it all end..... please.

The bottom one was their thought process. Also I'm sure they expected pardons.

They were convinced Trump would get a third term. They were told Pence would refuse to count the certificates. They were sure the President would pardon them if necessary, with a wave of his sand wedge. They were privileged; no one would touch them. And most of them don’t believe Charles Darwin anyway.

I have heard this defense. How stupid do you have to be to believe that?
Fort Knox and Nuc Subs are both gov't owned, trying strolling around either one on your own.

This link contains a video of parts of Trump's speech interspersed with crowd reaction. The video then goes on to the Capitol insurrection, with some shots of the crowd, and others of individuals. Watch it and tell me Trump isn't responsible for the riot. "Fight for Trump," was a common chant. People in the Capitol were saying Trump sent them, and Trump is happy.

The Senate needs enough Rs with a spine to convict Trump this time. Enough is enough. Trump incited a riot with the goal of overthrowing Congress and installing himself as a dictator. If that's not an impeachable offense, what is? And if you think Trump isn't culpable, if one person misinterprets your words, that's unfortunate. If a few people do, then you need to choose better words. If it's an angry mob of 1000s that results in five people dead, you're to blame.

Hey! It ain't over - just wait until March 4th.

Fact check: No evidence to support QAnon claims of mass arrests, military takeover, illegitimacy of Biden’s presidency or Trump’s return to power

"Social media users have been sharing posts that make various claims related to the QAnon conspiracy theory, including that Martial Law and the Insurrection Act have been invoked; power has been transferred from outgoing President Trump to the military, not President Joe Biden; there have been mass arrests; Biden is not President; and Trump will come back to power on March 4th."

The article gives links to some of the social media posts.

Nah, they don’t want liberty or give them death. They were full of “patriotism” as long as they were an overwhelming force that could beat and kill policeman without much resistance and they thought (probably giving them too much credit for the ability to think) no repercussions.

Where was their “bravery” and willingness to “recreate 1776” now that the other side has superior forces and firepower? You know ...like the British had in 1776? Nowhere to be found. Cowering. Hiding from the FBI. Guess the thought of actually shedding their own blood for their “cause” wasn’t worth the “next American Revolution” they hoped to inspire.

Here’s the probably bad news. They aren’t going away soon. They’ll just pick an opening where they don’t actually face danger. You know, just like the patriots in 1776...

‘We Are Armed and Nearby Your House’: Ex-Air Force Captain Who Believed Trump Won Allegedly Threatened New York Congressman’s Family (msn.com)

According to a criminal complaint unsealed in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, Robert Lemke, 35, sent several text messages to the unnamed east coast lawmaker’s family on Jan. 6, the same day that Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Complex with members of Congress still inside sheltering in place.

“Your brother is putting your entire family at risk with his lies and other words. We are armed and nearby your house. You had better have a word with him. We are not far from his either. Already spoke to [Congressman-1’s son] and know where his kids are,” Lemke allegedly said to the congressman’s brother via text message. The messages also included a photo of a house in the same neighborhood where the congressman’s brother lived.

“[Y]our words have consequences. Stop telling lies; [Joe] Biden did not win, he will not be president. We are not[] white supremacists. Most of us are active/retired law enforcement or military,” he added, possibly referring to the Oath Keepers or another right-wing militia group. “You are putting your family at risk. We have armed members near your home . . . . . Don’t risk their safety with your words and lies.”

Lemke is also accused of sending messages to the congressman’s sister-in-law, telling her to calm her husband down and claiming that two were being spied on.

“We saw on the hidden camera, he was quite stirred up. You need to have him talk with [Congressman 1]. Thanks,” the message said.

Absolutely insane. Any politician that isn't willing to forcefully condemn these actions needs to be removed from office.

140 police officers injured in the riot. One stabbed with a metal post. One lost an eye. More than one has brain damage.

But please seditionist posters--tell me how all of this wasn't serious.

I think you meant to write "140 police officers injured" instead of killed.
