It seems we were assured by a few posters here, including one particular mod, that all the anti-election fallout would just dissipate. Nothing would happen and Biden would just be inaugurated. WRONG!

 

The wheels have come off. Inciting insurrection is apparently the line in the sand.

 

That doesn't surprise me. From what I've been told, the White House has been absolutely nuts for the past month or so and people want off the sinking ship. This gives them an excuse to abandon ship while looking somewhat principled.

 

Hindsight seems to be the word speak of the day. So many of us "normal" people have been screaming about Trump and his cultists and yet we were never listened to. Just liberals that never liked Trump. That's all we were, just liberal socialists with nothing on our mind but hating Trump. but now it seems that the term "woke" has hit Republican congressman/congresswomen. Very difficult to listen to all these people that remained silent while Trump played and now they all want to play all knowing. They were blind because they were/are part of the entire display shown today and they will never admit their absolutely full blown ignorance of what happens when one individual owns the moment constantly and daily. Trump should have been pushed back in year one but these same Republicans zipped their mouths and followed but now they want to be on the good side of history so here they are..preaching about unity, about toning things down. Very difficult to listen to the insincere words that seem to be an attempt to avoid responsibility.

Some on here cling to the same political ideology and also chose to never listen and to never question and followed along according to Trump's whims. Its not about having different beliefs! Its about being able to temper them to a point where reason is the normal. Some of you continue with that mantra even after today's events and my hope is you learn to back it up a bit. We so called liberals have been yelling and screaming because we have always seen Trump for who he is! Hell. I was part of building his Trump villa's in Canouan, St Vincent and the Grenadines and got to see who he was when he sponsored a Trump Million Dollar Golf Challenge on an island with 900 people total living there. He was an arrogant fraud when I met him in 2005 and he is an upgraded model of the same in 2020. Some of you have some road to catch up to because it is really hard to discuss or debate with anyone that on this day still supports Trump without fail. My opinion.

They storm the capital, took down the American flag, replaced it with a Trump flag and call themselves patriots.

Biden's still going to be inaugurated in timely fashion. But law enforcement, the National Guard whoever it takes has to take control of the situation and makes sure this doesn't happen again between now and January 20th.

The acts on the Capitol were shameful.
