    And another one:

Guardsman who went AWOL after Biden won election admits to assaulting officers on Jan. 6

A former Ohio Army National Guardsman who went AWOL after Joe Biden won the election admitted to assaulting officers during the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, court documents said.

Matthew Honigford, 31, pleaded guilty to a felony offense of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers. He is set to be sentenced on Aug. 19 by U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, a Barack Obama appointee.

In the 37 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,313 people have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the Capitol breach, including more than 469 charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, authorities said.

Add weed smoking rioter to the list of Magamorons going to jail. Seems like a good tourist.

Brandon Fellows sentenced to 3 years in prison in Jan. 6 case | wusa9.com

    WASHINGTON —

Brandon Fellows, 29, of Schenectady, was convicted in August of one felony count of obstruction of an official proceeding and four misdemeanors for his role in the Capitol riot. At trial, prosecutors showed Fellows entering the U.S. Capitol through a broken window and then proceeding to Sen. Jeff Merkley’s (D-OR) office, where he smoked marijuana. Fellows then joined rioters in the Crypt before heckling officers who didn’t have helmets on his way out of the building. Prosecutors said Fellows then posted extensively on social media, “glorifying the violence of his fellow rioters.”

Fellows was initially granted pretrial release but had his bond revoked after multiple violations, including calling the mother of his probation officer. His defiant behavior continued following his rearrest. Fellows fired multiple attorneys and ultimately chose to represent himself – including during a disastrous bond review hearing in which he appeared to admit to illegally attempting to get judges removed from cases in D.C. and New York. In addition to his conviction at trial, Fellows was also found in criminal contempt of court for repeated outbursts, including calling the proceeding a “kangaroo court” and a “nazi court.”

At his sentencing hearing Thursday, U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden agreed. McFadden, a former deputy assistant attorney general who was nominated to the federal bench by former President Donald Trump in 2017, said in all his years in law he had never seen a defendant as contemptuous as Fellows.

“You have repeatedly made a mockery of these proceedings,” McFadden said, noting Fellows had shown the “height of contempt” for all three branches of government and had “flagrantly lied” on the stand at trial. McFadden also pushed back against Fellows’ belief that he was the victim of a “grand conspiracy” against him.

And another… a school board member in VA. This is who is supposed to be watching over our children? I pray he didn’t do any book readings.

Virginia school board member charged for alleged participation in Capitol riot – NBC4 Washington

A Virginia school board member was arrested and charged for his alleged participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Miles Adkins, 40, of Frederick County, faces four misdemeanor charges in federal court.

The FBI says a picture shows Adkins inside the Capitol helping someone else climb in through a window.

The FBI's criminal complaint includes an exchange of Facebook messages between Adkins and a friend with Adkins writing, "I'm getting food then fighting" and "I drank fireball and a coors lite in the capitol." The friend replied, "You guys better go out with a bang" and "don't let it be nothing." Adkins replied with a racial slur and "you know this."

Nicole Joyner, come on down! You're the next contestant on Send Insurrectionists to Prison.

A Florida woman, of course. Blaming Antifa and the police, of course.

Florida wins going away. This from a year ago: 91. What’s wrong with you guys down there?

    #1. Florida
    - Number of rioters: 91
    - Rioters per million people: 4.1

Nicknamed "the cradle of the insurrection," many rioters from Florida were heavily outfitted for combat and intended to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. Home to more than one-third of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers charged for their involvement in the riot, most of Florida rests just over 1,000 miles from the Capitol. Of those arrested, particularly visible members of right-wing extremist movements included Enrique Tarrio, the former chairman of the Proud Boys, and Jonathan Pollock, a violent instigator during the riot, who is currently a federal fugitive.

States where the most Jan. 6 rioters were arrested

    True story…

everyone knows the story of War of the Worlds radio broadcast in 1938. How it was a play presented as a newscast, and a decent number of Americans believed the story that Martians were invading America.
Anyway, a young Jack Paar was working a radio station somewhere in Ohio that night. He got a call from a guy in a panic over it. Paar tried to calm him down but the man wouldn’t listen. Paar said something like “Have I ever lied to you?”. The man said “you’re part of the cover up!” And hung up the phone.
Just an object lesson in human nature that seems relevant for almost every thread on this board these days,

Agreed. They're not political prisoners. They're "hostages."

Florida man John Crowley, a member of the Guardians of Freedom, was sentenced today to 8 months in prison, 6 months home detention and 3 years probation by a judge who was on Trump's transition team

This patriot/now hostage was posting on 12/25/20 that he needed donations for a planned January 6, 2021 trip to DC. The stated purpose of the money was to buy tactical gear for the group. They specifically needed body armor, helmets, face coverings to secure their identity, mace/pepper spray, knives with up to 3" blades, and squirt bottles for milk. He and his fellow gang members drove up the day before and had quite a time at the Capitol the following day as outlined in the video.

Perhaps I'm being a bit jaded here, but the Guardians of Freedom's "shopping list" strikes me as a bit odd for tourists to our nations capital to bring on a mini-vacay. It's almost like they were planning on some significant violence to take place.

This is a must watch interview with a journalist who was charged in connection with 1/6. It gives an inside look at how Biden's DOJ operates:

He is a journalist. He tried to document what was happening on January 6th, and he followed the crowd into the building to take video. That was his crime. He also reports on 1/6 in a way the Biden DOJ does not approve of. That is what he is really being prosecuted for. It is political targeting.
