An interesting take on the BLM riots and the Jan 6 (riots) insurrection. Many people would say they were both wrong. Only one side would say one was bad and the other never occurred.

That guy is as nuts as he looks. Angela Merkel looks just like Hitler which proves they are/were both members of a cabal of baby blood drinkers? Dude is out in the ether.
    BTW happy GC anniversary.

Seems a bit queer for a horrible insurrection, a year later, not to have any charged insurrectionists.

Amazing how every time you seek to deflect, someone points out to you that this insurrection was the first attack on the Capitol since the War of 1812 and was directed at destroying our democratic republic and installing an authoritarian autocracy, yet you remain intentionally obtuse at the gravity of that.

    God, you are sad.

Yeah, no one is excusing the summer riots. Only in the mind of whataboutism Trumpers.

BTW, a lot of the images from Fox and pics on the Internet are actually from riots in Belarus and Ukraine FYI.

Regardless, the summer riots were an overreaction to all the George Floyd style killings. The insurrection was a coordinated effort by Trump and his allies to invalidate the 2020 presidential election. Those things are not similar.

Sad wasn't the word I was thinking, but it works.
I was going to reply to dad, but it's cold out and my dog is laying in my office randomly licking himself. I get much better discussions with the dog.

I have tried to avoid this thread like the plague. Everyone involved should be prosecuted and I was appalled at what I saw & Trump & Co should be held responsible.

That said, I'm old enough to remember hearing about other incidents so wanted to correct someone who had said it was the only attack on the Capitol since 1812.

Quick reminder that I am an independent & did NOT vote for Trump.

    Some others:

1915 - A former Harvard University German language professor used a timing device to detonate three sticks of dynamite in an empty Senate reception room during a holiday recess. The professor, angry that American financiers were aiding the British against Germany during World War One, then fled to New York, where he shot and slightly injured banker J.P. Morgan. He was subsequently captured and later took his own life in jail.

1954 - A group of four armed Puerto Rican nationalists indiscriminately opened fire on the House floor from the visitors' gallery and unfurled a Puerto Rican flag. Five members of Congress were wounded. The four assailants - three men and a woman - were apprehended and sentenced to lengthy prison terms, which President Jimmy Carter commuted in 1979.

1971 - A bomb planted by the radical antiwar group Weather Underground to protest the U.S.-backed invasion of Laos was detonated in a restroom on the Senate side of the Capitol, causing extensive damage but no casualties.

The braindead rubes aren't bright enough to recognize this. Or some do recognize it yet still continue to ignorantly act as if they're pics are from America.

We already know you righties are proud of what the "patriots" did on January 6th. Which is why you're desperately deflecting to the libs, with zero acknowledgement of what your beloved MAGA domestic terrorists did.

Of course it was a criminal conspiracy. I mean they did it all out in the open. It was obvious. Which probably means they get away with it. You can’t have a “conspiracy” done all out in the open. Crime logic.

I think the best hope for the country is actually that some of the pissed off rubes start turning their rage towards the right people. I know a lot of those QANON people are legit insane. But at least some of the pawns in this have to wake up. I mean, imagine sitting there in jail, one day realizing you gave up your freedom because you drank Trumps purple Kool-aid. LOL.

Even though a civil suit requires a lower burden of proof than does a criminal case, I don't expect this to get very far. Even if trump settled using RNC money it would be admitting some degree of guilt and not in don's best interests.
