A salute to our veterans on this day, Nov. 11, 2023. But especially those who saw the horrors of war that the rest of us cannot imagine. Or even gave their lives.
Without googling.. Anyone know why it is November 11? I did not - must have been absent that day in school. I had to look it up.
WWI ended on the 11th hour of November 11, 1918*. The day was originally referred to as Armistice Day. The name was changed after the second war to end all wars. Heartfelt thanks to all veterans for your service. *(WWi was fought from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918.)
