I can understand any kid not being a slam dunk to his dad’s Alma mater but a few teams should be off the table as a matter of principle. Either his dad doesn’t really care about UF or the kid doesn’t care what his dad thinks. Perplexing for me to say the least.
His dad worked at UF for years until leaving to handle AR's career, his daughter runs track at UF.....but he does and should respect his son's decision and best interest. Steve Spurrier's son played at Duke, Cris Collinsworth son played at ND, the examples are endless. I think he ends up at UF but we shouldn't assume or judge what is an incredibly important decision for a kid and his family.
just win. I believe that what it comes down to with him. one thing for sure though, big time schools are usually good with locking up legacy kids especially when the legacy kids is a son and not a nephew.
He has a sister at FSU.....wonder if that's because that's where she was accepted? It works both ways. Would we demand UF take him if he was a 2 star?
That's not the point.....the point is when we want him we expect him to be loyal o his dad's alma mater, but we don't necessarily reciprocate to a legacy (nor should be necessarily).
I know that I didn’t really care about getting ej smith out of high school, and cared even less about getting him out of the portal.
Emmitt’s kids did not attend UF. Both at TAM now lot of UF greats kids did not come to UF Fred Taylor’s son did. All the Jackson’s and McGriffs did
Having split house holds between UF, FSU and GA has destroyed families. He needs to think of the family!
