No I didn’t hear the entire conversation. But I did hear him yelling at her. I did not hear her yelling. She really didn’t seem like the type to be harassing him. Even when I talked to her she was content to let it pass as said he is just probably hot and having a bad day. I suspect you have drawn a particular stereotype in mind, and if so, pretty sure you’re wrong. He was a flat out arrogant asshole who seemed to think he was in charge of the place. He started yelling at me before I said a word to him. Classic bully. He didn’t expect anybody to call his bluff.
She harassed him the second she felt it was her duty to tell him to move his truck or put on his blinkers. When in actuality it was none of her business what he was doing. You already admitted that all he was doing was sitting in his truck( not bothering anyone) except this woman apparently. And you sure stood up to him by tattling on him to anyone you could.
Not aggrieved. Their behavior has been normalizes as they have discovered how many out there are just like them
Somebody intentionally hit a poster who posts here with a car a few years ago. I won’t identify him because it is his privacy. But maybe he will post and describe what happened
Well from what has been told. The guy was sitting in his truck, not bothering anyone. This woman arrived at the gas station, got out of her minivan and went up to the guy and told him to move his truck or put on his blinkers. Why? She sounds like a Karen. She couldn't just go inside and take care of what ever she went up to the gas station for? I'm just trying to wrap my head around what he was doing that was so egregious that it prompted this woman to get out of her car, go up to his and tell him he needs to move instead of just going into the store? He was in a service/vendor vehicle. He was probably making a delivery , doing paperwork and getting ready to move on. Sure the guy was an AH for going off on her, should have just ignored her. But why engage him in the first place?
This could all be correct. Or, you could be making some assumptions beginning with the assertion that he was not bothering anyone. Perhaps he was blocking her access to the pump? Perhaps she was kind and polite, nothing like the "Karen" you assume. Or maybe she was a hellbent SJW intent upon making life miserable for a true and great patriot. See . . . the assumptions can take us many places.
Even if your assumption is true that the woman was nosy, according to i_boy the guy started raging at him too! That out of control behavior and the “social Justice warrior” comment are dead giveaways. Does it even matter what the woman wanted? Maybe the dudes blinkers were off, or maybe he had something sticking out of his truck that wasn’t visible and could be run into? The OP didn’t even hear that part, so you have no idea if the woman had a valid point or not. Nor do we know if she was obnoxious in any way. What we DO know is the guy described here acted like a total douche. It’s just kind of funny you are going to bat for some random dude based 100% on your own assumptions about the lady. The only actual witness to what went on is the OP! My guess is part of what prompted him to post this is that the guy went off in *him* too for no reason, making him part of the incident. Too bad he didn’t think to tape it, could’ve had material for Reddit, or he could have been shot.
After he and I first “talked” he went and put a “do not cross this line “ tape in front of her car. It was actually touching the car. That basically boxed her in. What do you think that is about? It is amazing how you will go to such lengths to defend an unknown character in somebody’s account, presumably just because he is white, the woman is black, and I referred to him as a racist in the thread. In your mind, given those cues, he must be an AOK member of the MAGA tribe that is the real victim. I was raised you don’t yell at and berate women and treat them like dog shit, period. But to you it’s ok because clearly she MUST have done something to deserve it - even though you have been told by all accounts she didn’t do any such thing.
I seriously doubt it. From the drug abusers I have seen (and I’ve seen quite a few lately, unfortunately ) He doesn’t fit the mold nor did his behavior. Meth heads and opiate addicts don’t walk around with giant beer guts. He was way too animated to be on pot.
Not defending the guy I clearly wrote: "Sure the guy was an AH for going off on her, should have just ignored her." I couldn't care less about who was white or black. What I hate are nosy people who feel it's their duty to tell other people what to do or how to do something without knowing what they are doing. As for the tape going up, he was marking out his work area. so he must have been parked right where he was supposed to be and the woman got there before he could do it and then asked him to move. I will say it again, his response to her was wrong and being an AH.
In fairness this whole thread is assumptions. The guy is being judged for his beer gut and zz top beard. OP is being judged for responding Woman is being judged for overreacting. Posters are judging each other. It's TooHot in a microcosm.
Guys ALOT of assumptions are being made in this thread. Assumptions about the driver, the lady, the OP, how other posters think or feel… and most of it is baseless conjecture. It might be best if we all backed off a bit and considered what we really know and not what we feel Or think. The OP had a run i with a guy that was .. in his eyes.. obnoxious, rude and racist. He was the only one there. None of us have any insight into what really happened one way or the other. I don’t find the story strange or compelling since I believe most of us have had run ins with such people in our lives. Like I said earlier .. the world is full of them. Every nation, every color, every creed..
Amazing and very predictable to read the usual characters tell the one person who was actually there how he got the whole incident wrong. lol
