Vandy’s guards are so quick and both can shoot the three. Jordon Wright their wing/guard, is athletic, composed, shoots the three, is usually open and can drive the ball. all three of these guys three were driving inside at Kentucky’s bigs and scoring inside regularly last night. They had Colin Smith, a 6’8” well built guy on Oscar and he gave a good fight on defending and sometimes boxing out the most athletic big in the conference. He is just a freshman from Dallas.
They were tenacious all night, the Kentucky fans kept cheering until two minutes left then they started leaving early. Kentucky played their first and only game last night but the fans got to Nashville either Tuesday or Wednesday. I am sure their fans were talking among themselves, because Vandy looked like they had a better coached team!

They have a good squad. They would be really good if Liam Robbins hadn't been hurt.

This might not be a popular opinion, but I like Stackhouse and while I'm not thrilled about Vandy being good, have no problem seeing him succeed. Part of it is probably that I'm a longtime 76ers fan, but I also appreciate his fiery competitiveness. Out of control sometimes? Yep

I knew Vandy was going to beat us. They were the hungrier team and Stackhouse schemed to put his team in the best position!!

The sickening feeling for me is Stackhouse can coach and will be at UNC sooner than later.

I’m sure Calipari got another bank deposit today. The sad part is with his contract we can’t even pull the plug! Kentucky is becoming Indiana.

When we lost to Vandy, I was mad that we missed an opportunity. I had to admit then, they were much better than I thought. Stackhouse has found a system, and the players to fit it. He lost his best player and they still played better this year.

I admire anyone who can go to Vandy and win. That’s a tough job.

I believe Vandy has a good group of seniors and juniors too, which is hard to find. Good for the, especially those that stayed with the program in the past.

Liam gave them a different look. The starting five last night were giant killers. They will make some noise in the SEC and the NCAA. They are killer at the guard and sf positions, their bigs are ok and can shoot the threes, they are very good, just ask any Kat fans!

He has recruited guys that are fast and physical, the recipe for success, CTG should be aware of the speed out front and the physical guys under the basket.

Hope so see CTG take a similar approach here. While the conference didn’t have one dominant team, it was competitive night-in, night-out. We’re going to either catch up, or get left behind.

Lunardi still thinks Vandy is not in the tourney, due to their NET ranking of 79. That ranking appears to be stupid.

They need to have an additional factoring consideration that takes into account late-season play. Vandy was bad early in the season but are a tourney team right now. They used to consider recent play in their selections.

Playing the late game last night, Vandy looks a step slow and a foot short on shots. Texas A &M looks dominant! Might win it all, physical front line and great under-rated back court.

This was a year that losing to them...twice...wasn't a real disaster. It took him a while, but he hit on a good group. They shoot the ball damn well.
