    Rooting for Vandy but given the Maui situation I would not be unhappy to see the Rainbows win one for the home team.

    I asked for this game to be added to the Game Threads because I feel I need some practice.

    While some of the dribbles I post are not earth-moving news it is important to me to be able to participate and keep up. I hope that my participation in the Vandy thread will show that.

    Vandy won this game by 53 last year, and that was at Hawaii. I think I'll take them at home this year.

    Yes, every home game for them is like a high school game. Lol....

    I think they are still doing work on their stadium upgrades.

    I got sick of hearing that dang fog horn on every 3rd down in Nashville last year . . . but it can't come close to the Hole "chop" (or whatever they call it) or UcheaT's constant Rocky Flop playing. LOL! :)

    I was given good tickets to UGA/Tenn last year, was supposed to be a good college game and I couldn't get to TAMU. I walked around proudly in my Gator clothing. But I kept singing "I've been working on the railroad" when ever I heard it also.

    When asked "Was I Lost", I replied I'm here as a neutral party, Florida had already played you both, We should of beat TENN, but every Georgia fan knows, the Gators won the 3rd Quarter last week.

    "I've been working on the railroad" brought those memories back.

    WHAT’S AT STAKE?

    Vanderbilt can open with a victory for a second straight season at Hawaii's expense. The Commodores gave coach Clark Lea a 63-10 rout in Hawaii a year ago. Now Vanderbilt kicks off Lea's third season with FirstBank Stadium literally a construction zone beyond each end zone. Attendance will be 28,500 in what already was the Southeastern Conference's smallest stadium. Hawaii is paying back its home-and-home series with the SEC's lone private university.

    KEY MATCHUP

    Managing the clock. Hawaii uses the run-and-shoot offense coach Timmy Chang used when he played for the Rainbow Warriors. Vanderbilt ranked 21st nationally and fourth in the SEC last season, holding the ball for 32 minutes, 3 seconds per game. Hawaii averaged just 28 minutes of possession a game last season, good for 108th nationally.
