He's doing a good job of blasting Vance's lies about Trump "saving" Obamacare

I disagree. Both he and Walz have done a much better job actually answering the questions than Trump and Harris did. Walz gets overly excited and rambles a bit and again, Vance is a much better public speaker but both are doing a good job letting the American public know where they stand on the issues.

    Here's my score card:

    JD > TW on econ, foreign affairs, the border, and coming off more personable;

TW > JD on Healthcare and environment, more poised than expected, but did get a tad flustered couple of times.

    Abortion was a wash.

    Winner: 'muriica.

We could use more politics like this.

I think Vance is actually doing a pretty good job of defending some pretty indefensible Trump positions. Some is straying from the party line. Some is dodging the question. But either way he's doing well.

Odd framing by the moderators -- How long should companies have to pay for leave? The Harris plan is government/tax-paid, as is what MN already did.

Did Donald Trump lose the election?

When Walz asked him point blank and he dodged it was brutal. But what was Vance supposed to do? It's an indefensible position for Vance. Republicans put themselves in this position.

A question that favors dems, like the unasked questions about why the dems hid Doh! Biden's dementia, or how sKamala got anointed instead of elected... woulda have favored JD/GOP.

But props to JD negotiating difficult terrain.

That said, I'll update my score card to reflect j6 as advantage to TW.

Is it just me, or does Walz look a little like Don Rickles? Doesn't sound like him or use his version of humor, fortunately. Try to get this image out of your head. :)

I personally thought it was a decent discussion but have already seen a couple people calling it boring.

Much to your chagrin, Vance killed it tonight. Looking at the last two debates, he came off as more intelligent and a much better and more composed public speaker than either Trump, Harris or Walz. His performance won’t be enough to overcome Trump being an idiot, but there is no doubt this was a big night for Vance.

That was the most satisfying debate I've seen in decades (mods notwithstanding).

    Enjoyed it tremendously.

    Respect to both VP candys.
