Cool. An agency employing 20-something year old kids as managers, run by the CEO of a car manufacturer, should be the perfect organization to help.

As long as the rapey felon Trump says so

The USPS needs a revamp since mail is mostly advert flyers getting preferential rates with a smattering of real mail. I don’t know what the solution is, but expecting it to make money or be cost neutral is completely misguided. It’s a service provided by the government so it’s not “losing” money just the same as we don’t claim Medicaid and the military lose a 1.5+ trillion dollars a year.

as mentioned before, most here agree our gov should improve efficiencies, carried out in a logical manner.

But let's see the ultimate goal of this. From the OP

"Critics fear the partnership signals a move toward privatization. Democratic Virginia Rep. Gerald Connolly, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, warned that allowing DOGE to “infiltrate” the agency would “undermine it, privatize it, and then profit off Americans’ loss.”

There is an argument as to whether the post office is worth it anymore. I doubt the crew in the Doge disaster are right for the task though.

I've got an incredible USPS waste story involving a dumpster but I won't post the story because I don't need them to catch on.

I think the smart answer is to reduce mail delivery to three days a week. Some neighborhoods get M-W-F delivery, and some get Tu-Th-Sa delivery. No one needs to get their mail every day. Uses about 60% of the delivery employees (each employee gets a five day week, with one sixth of them getting Mondays off, one sixth getting Tuesday's off, etc.). Since they have to drive multiple routes, have a customized Garmin-type system help remind them of their route.

Another dishonest post from a supposed moderator. I’ve never heard anyone say they don’t want government to be more efficient or eliminate fraud. No one.

I have heard people object to the hamfisted way the current administration is going about it though.

Our mail delivery has been a bit of a mess for several years. They switched our area to a training route for a while, so you'd see the man or woman walking around holding up a letter and trying to figure out which house it went to. I think that's over, but half the time they drive house to house, stop, walk up the driveway, go back to the vehicle and drive another 100 feet or so to the next house.

Wait till you find out how much money it will cost to outsource it to UPS, Amazon and FedEx. The pandemic proved the nation is truly beholden to these monopolies. They are going for a full stranglehold on all vital national infrastructure.

Stop saying generic terms and show proof. Just because someone believes something doesn't make it true. What part of USPS is fraudulent? Where is the waste? Point out the things that need to be fixed or debated. Instead let's trust a gov contractor with financial interests in govt to do the right thing, even though we know he's abandoned at least one of his kids...

They don't need facts - their feelings constitute proof.

Strange how, in that regard, they've become identical to the farthest left fringe that they despise.
