Read somewhere that former NBA player Loul Deng is the principal financial backer for the South Sudan team.

Those guys come ready to compete.

Asking for a recount is fine.

Trump was well within his legal options.

Asking for votes to be generated out of thin air is not fine.

Historically, combining “shot” and Serbia hasn’t led to positive outcomes (I’m a professor—look it up) :)

    I get the doping reference.

And it did lead to a "positive" result. LOL.

Or are you referring to WWI?

    Works both ways.

Let us all rejoice in the fact that international basketball is getting really good. We all knew that from the number of international stars in the NBA game and the number of international players selected in the NBA draft.

The fact that TG is well ahead of his coaching colleagues in scouting and recruiting international talent is a positive for now but other schools will figure it out.

Lots of competition for stupidest war. I’ll nominate the War of Triple alliance. Paraguay VS Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. Paraguay lost 40% of it territory and over 70% of its male population. Should be a candidate for a National Darwin Award.

LeBron, in his old age, appears to have turned into an athletic Magic Johnson.

I remember about 10 years ago having discussions with buddies who were basketball fans and they swore up and down that Lebron was gonna fall off a cliff once his athleticism waned and he couldn’t bully his way to the rim anymore. Yet even tho he’s lost a step athletically, he’s still savvy and skilled enough to make an impact on games.

James was always an elite passer and above average rebounder. What’s surprised me is how much his game has evolved over the years. At different stages, he became an elite 5-position defender, a post threat, a high ball screen jump shooter, and a “point” power forward. And somehow, given his size, muscle mass, and explosiveness, has avoided major injuries. Just an absolute freak.

I’ve read that he spends millions of dollars per year on maintaining his body, from sleeping in hyperbaric chambers to massages to innovative muscle recovery techniques. Not to mention he’s disciplined when it comes to fitness/diet. Mix that in with some good luck to avoid major injury and this is what you get.
